IzonOwei: If the few representatives we have had in the federal level coupled with our governors have used even half of what has been accrued to us to develop the Niger Delta I bet you Dubai people would have been coming here for holiday resorts. But hell no, they have been siphoning all the monies, turning themselves into thin gods who must be obeyed and even use their MOPOL escorts to whip the poor people into submission. Yet some persons want me to believe one so called Gambari up north is my problem. Jonathan could not site a befitting federal project in Bayelsa but the wife was able to build a personal world class hotel there coupled with estates in Portharcourt and you say we should kill people who voted him out. Hell no! 11 Likes |

royal231: That is left to the shareholders which include Lagos State Govt, Jadesinmis, Foreign Investors, and Institutional Investors to decide and not through a fiat by an outgoing President. As am matter of fact the site for the project was LASG contribution to LADOL, FG was not an original a shareholder of LADOL but became a shareholder through NPA when they saw how viable the company will be as a result of scrambling by foreigners and institutional investors for shares and ownership of LADOL 7 Likes |

I am of d opinion that anything pertaining to oil especially if fed govt is involved should b located in d Niger Delta! Even our ministries are either in Lagos or in abuja which is wrong 1 Like |

Kennywills7: Definitely you are too lazy to read up. Google is everybody's friend. Kindly read up on the history of this country. Point of correction, there is nothing like "our ministries". As the constitution stands today, all the ministries belong to FG and FG is our collective property. By default all ministries must be located in Abuja. Someone abolished the region and centralised all the power at the federal level. With that action, he took resource control away from all regions and gave it to federal government without thinking of the future implications on the generations yet unborn. That person is Ironsi. Some people hijacked power and saw the advantage in the new system for their part of the country and they capitalised fully on it. That is the northerners. Oil companies have the right to chose wherever there HQ want to be. Even Barrack Obama cannot order them to relocate to anywhere. Are you aware that the British Barclays Bank is contemplating moving his HQ away from UK because of excessive taxation. The same way militancy, kidnapping and insecurity in general drove the oil giants and oil servicing companies away from ND. Min of ND, Min of Petroleum and other related government agencies must be located where the seat of government is. That is why they are in Abuja. NDDC is in ND, because it is parastatal strictly dedicated to your region. Way forward. 1. GEJ missed the golden opportunity with the National Jamboree he was calling Confab. He ought to have lobbied his way through the National Assembly for the amendment of the constitution to recognise referendum, for a confab resolution to be binding. 2. At the Confab, we must all support regionalism. With regionalism, your much sort after resource control comes automatically. Also note that all the income being generated for FG in SW through taxation, VAT, petroleum tax, custom and excise duty will also revert to SW strictly. To make the resource control more acceptable to all, a graduated increment of percentage to be allocated to region producujg such resources can be fashioned out. We shall all pay certain percentage to FG for the running of the central government. Each regions can decide to create 20states and 500 LGs within their region. It's none of anybody's biz. Crying for Biafra or Upper Zambezi is dead on arrival at international level. That is a fact. After some years with regionalism we can all call for referendum on separation. First thing first, we need to amend the constitution before conducting any meaningful confab. 8 Likes 1 Share |

royal231: This is 500million dollars businees we are talking about and im sure the owner of the company would have considered other places before deciding citing this project in lagos. Abia state would not have cited their palm oil plantation company in badagry just for the sake of it aswell. I hope you know Business is about making profit... 3 Likes |

OgagaMic: The Project belongs to a Yoruba man, called Mr Jaiyesinmi. Let us force our brothers from the south south, who has embezzled billions to the detriment of their people,to come and invest home, too. Its lugubrious that we keep overdeveloping Lagos, yet,we want to breakaway. If Nigeria breaks today, the investments in Lagos today alone, will survive the Yorubas for several years. Be wise. 4 Likes |

Kennywills7: What LADOL is constructing is a logistics base/FPSO IIntegration yard.It was brought about by the Total Egina FPSO contract won by Samsung Heavt Industries. The location of LADOL makes it a feasible place because of the water draught. Google is, and will always be your friend.Consult the oracle first before making assumptions. 4 Likes |

manie: What about the land use act of 1970... Also why is there no viable federal government project in the south eastern region? ? Remember that OBJ kicked against the second Niger bridge... he also said that there was an agreement that the southeastern should be underdeveloped due to the war... I thus repeat... and will keep on saying that the best thing that happened to nigeria was the Jonathan's outgoing government. .. he simultaneously carried all regions along... the issue was that some regions were out rightly greedy... while some regions believed that the government was their birthright. .. a time shall come and very soon.. but we the south east will be spectators then... 1 Like |

Hypocrisy at its peak!!!!!! Before I proceed, I ll like to state here that there is nothing like United Niger-Delta when it comes to things like this or war; Ijaws are on their own with their newly found friends; the Igbos. It ll be suicidal for Ijaws to think that Urhobos, Itshekiris, Edos and Egberis who are more historically attached to Yorubas would be involved in any Ijaw/SE plans except the few miscreants from those places. Niger-Delta is only in existence for two purposes: 1) To save these small Nations within Niger Delta formation from their over-zealous Vampire neighbour who had made attempt to force themselves on Niger-Deltans In the past before they were made to eat humble pies. 2). Federal Allocation. I laughed each time I see SE/SS in write ups, it should be Ijaws/SE. It is quite shocking and hypocritical to see the same Niger-deltans youth who have failed to ask Asari Dokubo to relocate their commonwealth from Benin republic to their land asking a Yoruba man to relocate his business to their backyard. What would be his fate when separation finally comes? He did d needy to be frank and honest. It ll be hypocritical to see any Igbo man here to say a Yoruba man should take his business to Niger-delta when the same people are clamouring for their own sovereignty. It's even pathetic to see an Igbo man saying that the privately financed business by Yoruba man should have been relocated to Bayelsa State when Innoson business was sited in the East, far away from where the company name ll be well publicised and sold to the public, the materials and of course the port(Export). If Lagos state is congested, what happen to the rest of Yoruba states? If Lagos state is congested, then other Yoruba states are available to absorb the economic pressure which Ogun state is already doing. It's a shame that Ijaws are now like Igbos who would cry over another man food when his own brothers are eating his own apportioned food. 16 Likes 2 Shares |

He knew his fellow Yoruba brothers will die fighting for him on their Land, but who will do that in another man's Land?
