Very open to unauthorise user, once it is known to me that the line on your phone is what you use in registering for your gt account then i can manually hack in with no stress to your account.

If you lost your gtb registered line you are OYO grin.


This system is not safe till more explanation comes, i frown at this.

If gtbank is just starting this, then they are very late on arrival. This technology has been in use in First Bank called firstmonie that have over 2million registered users. Just dial *894#. This works for even non account holders and can work with the so-called 'palasa' phones.

This event includes a PIN authorising capability and can transact so much in a day.

GTB didn't come early on this....

A welcomed development. In this 21st century money transfer must be made very easy. However I urge the bank to include a password. I don't want folks transferring money to their account when they get hold of my phone knowing I bank with GT

Your majesty, could u please state the process around initiating a transaction on the platform of those banks? Can't be this easy. It would involve sending and receiving instructions by way of numbers(1- accept, 2- decline) .

so don't understand how this is different.DOnt think its first of its kind in Nigeria.

Fortis has a mobile money licence. *540# to register or perform transaction from phones that are not internet enabled.

Access Bank lunched thiers as far back as 2013 while I was with them. Gtb is a solid bank though, but this is no news in the nigeria banking sector.

the new innovation is cool, but with this, if your friend uses GTbank you can easily transfer money from his account without him knowing because you don't need password to do so, i would wish that it should be corrected, there should be a password b4 you can trasfer sad

Hmmm..... So with the last 4 digits of your card number and playing with your phone... I can just transfer money from your account.. shocked

Where is the extra security in this process. ( Don't tell me keep your phone and card safe)

Seriously. I use Fortis Mobile Money and i dey enjoy am like die.

Their daily transaction limit is 1 Million in a day and it is serving me.

For those doubting this service, don't forget GTBANK already has mobile money service which works the same way as the other banks listed here. This new service is a different one.

And for those questioning it's security. At least try it before making baseless conclusions. You are prompted to enter the last 4 digits of your debit card followed by your pin before successful transaction.

Ecobank has the same product running over two year now. U can't send and receive money whether or not u ve an account in with Bank. It's called ECOMOBILE..... more enquiry visit ecobank. Or call me 08059091600
