Dude if you are rooted just goto your root folder locate the system then vendor then app then delete the bbm.apk u will find there then try installing the new one.

That is root/system/vendor/app/bbm.apk

U can hide it by using some status bar tool from xpose or replace it with a foreign icon just as I did to mine above
