Like you said, who ever asked for a date should foot the bills. But if the guy doesn't have enough money for that then they'll have to split the bill(I know it is falling of hands). As for the babe, if she knows she can't afford such with her own money she shouldn't have ordered for such expensive meal...I guess she wanted to try those meal on your head. Normally a guy usually foot the bills. It's the worldwide accepted norm, but it's not a must. If not for the mentality of us Nigerians, this sort of thread wouldn't be created in the first place. For the most ladies in Nigeria, a guy must foot the bills. It's non-negotiable. You'll hear them say; "where/when are you taking me out?" .. "Should i bring my friends along?" .. Etc. This sort of leeching and lazy mentality is fast eroding the dignity of our females. Some men now say, "guy, carry go fast food, buy am take-away, she go gree for you." It's sad but true. But in the developed world, that's not the norm. A lady can foot the bill in a date though men mostly do it. This is how it's supposed to be. But over here, poverty and laziness has rendered our ladies to demanding that a guy pays any bill during a date or hang-out. |
