Hello everyone, I'm very grateful for this kind of thread, it helped me a lot during my application. The good news is that I got a notification of admission for Masters at a German university in Hanover. The MSc programme is entirely English taught. I did not have to submit any German proficiency certificate. The question I want to ask is that.. during my student visa application would I be asked to submit a German proficiency certificate to enter Germany? It is very important I know now. Thanks

Sincerely I don't understand y some of us run from these English exams cus it boost our chances of admission. Anything to give u d edge over d hundreds of applications dat ur course will get should b embraced by all in my own view. The fact that we study in English all our life should also b a reason we should b confident to write these exams. Ielts is the simplest exam I ever wrote and it simply gives ur application the edge wen its included

For a word of advice,don't write TOEFL cus d stress of going thru an agent before u can get registered is sumtin else. Write ielts which u can apply for 35k by ursef online without having to pay anybody. Pick the last week in may or d ist week in July to write ur exam and ur result will b out in 2 weeks. Ielts will even send a copy to the school on ur behalf for free if u indicate it while applying.

So I applied to this school online and forwarded my documents through courier. I got a mail that my acceptance/rejection letter will be uploaded to my online account on a specific date - 6 weeks after the deadline for the application. Meanwhile, a document was uploaded to my profile on receipt of my hardcopy documents without my knowledge. This document was intended to enable me begin embassy preparations (blocked account, etc). On this document, it was written that the admission notification will be sent to me on a particular date, which has now passed. But the problem is I only saw this document when I went to check for my admission status, which was a rejection.

My question is this: Is it still possible to use this document to open a blocked account? As I applied to other programs - some of which have no NC, I am almost 90% sure of getting in

In my post, all the places where I wrote "this document", I meant the document literally saying "use me to open your blocked account", and not the rejection letter.

The two bolded do not refer to the same document. Hope you get it now.

LOL. You're amusing. Anyway, like I said earlier, I have gotten the answer to my problem. I ought to have googled/emailed before coming here, which I ended up doing.
To summarize my earlier post, the question is: Does the embassy and/or Deutsche bank contact the school to know the status of an applicant before opening the account? Hope you get it now.

no..what he is saying is that in the school, like some others, they give u a document which u can use to open blocked account and even get visa appointment pending the time they make their admission decision. And now that it happens that the school didnt eventually admit him, he's left confused not knowing what to do as he applied to other schools he has a 90percent chance of getting admitted, so he wants to use this document to proceed with embassy waka pending when the other schools admit him, since in reality u can use one school doc to process another school doc

Masters applicants i hail o ...e no easy. Abeg Im working on my undergrad application. I'v been narrowing down courses and schools, my question please is if applications are directed straight to the school or if there's a general portal for that. I didnt see any indication for that on the websites especially Rhein-Waal. Please i'll appreciate if someone throws little light on this biko. And please what does "German entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences or equivalent" mean? Thanks in advance.
