Asari Dokubo is in for the shocker of his life, those that know him should better warn him and call him to order. When late President Yaradu'a of blessed memory offered them amnesty & he (Asari Dokubo) refused to lay down his arms. Why did he run away @ the expiration of the deadline if he was really a man? He was in exile until President Jonathan became president. If he dare fument trouble in Niger Delta, he should be ready for face the consequencies. The new govt will not witch-hurt any body but it will also have zero tolerance for law brakers and trouble makers....Asari Dokubo, be warned.

We are wiser my dear there shall be NO War. But we would get what we want one way or the other. Just wait and see
No one was killed before Yau adua gave amnesty. the same way the northern solders sabotaged the fight against BH so shall the southern sabotage the killing of innocent citizens of the Niger delta when the pipelines goes Kaaboom
Nigeria shall come to its Knees once again
we did it before and can perfect it now we have tasted power and know the loop hole in the Nigeria of today.

Why are you trying to tribalise the thread? If we have another major seaport in the East would it not be good for Nigeria as a whole? It is too bad that as big as we are we are all struggling to bring in goods through Apapa, it makes no sense bro.
I told you that your new friends don't care about the east and you re yearning for a United nigeria.

If Asari Dokubo is serious about the Niger-Delta struggle,he should first bring back all his investments to the region, failure to do that,he is as usual a greedy monetary protection seeker like his Ijaw brother Barcanista.

And some mumu people will attend that meeting

Asari Dokubo is an asswipe , Shinning under Boro's Shadows, If he (Asari Dokubo) loves Niger delta so much and he wants to save them

Why is his university in Bennin Republic ?

Why is his illegal refinery not located in Niger Delta

How many houses or roads has he built for the masses

How many court cases has he been there to defend someone from Niger Dela

It has always been about enriching himself and until Niger Deltans realize that

He'll push them to war , Hide behind the lines , and when shiite hits the fan,

Obascoetubi:
Our struggle is
not and never about
becoming the president. It
was not about being awarded
oil licenses and mouth-
watering contracts. It was not
about massive infrastructural
development of the Niger
Delta Region. It was not
about high scale
appointments employment
and empowerment. It was
never about interventionist
programmes and projects.
“Our struggle indeed is about
our collective freedom from a
false and forced colonial
union that has remained
divided and un-integrated. It
is about our being conferred
a slave status and seen as a
conquered people who must
exist at the mercy of the
overloads and supremacist
class using our own brothers
as taskmasters against us in
a Nigerian union.
“Our status in the Nigerian
enterprise remains that of a
conquered people living a
slave and prisoners status.
This is the collective identity
we have as a people. Whether
you are rich, poor, high, low,
big, mighty or small, no
matter how well dressed, well
fed a slave or a prisoner his,
he remains a slave and a
prisoner who constantly lives
at the mercy and dictates of
others with his contributions
and consent of no
consequence. This is why we
must now than ever stand up
like the Scottish to determine
our going forward for our
platforms and reject our
oppressors. This will not
come easy.”
Mr. Dokubo amassed wealth
from the multi-billion naira
pipeline contract awarded to
ex-militants by the Jonathan
administration as part of the
amnesty deal.

One of the best speeches I have ever heard from anyone in Nigeria for a long time. It encapsulates everything anyone from the SS and SE should imbibe. Nigeria is a fraud.

A minimum of 50% resource derivation, political restructuring and Regional Federalism. Otherwise, we demand Referendum!

You are beginning to sound like attention seekers like Uwazurike.
You did not ask for a referendum in the last 6 years when GEJ was enforcing his cluelessness and ineptitude on the polity.
I have no problem with 90% resource control, my problem is that the crooks called leaders in ND (as the rest of the country) cannot be entrusted with a farthing. If Buhari comes and does right by the masses of the ND, people like you will be pelted with poo in plastic bags when you canvass your referendum propaganda in public. derivation is not the issue. too many thieves in public places is the issue. Take a trip to Bayelsa and shudder and the state of the place.

There is nothing wrong in holding meetings and also nothing wrong in a struggle geared towards the betterment of the people of the Niger Delta. My advise is that we should give Buhari a chance and see what he has to offer, who knows, he might turn out to be a blessing for the region. Jonathan was there for over 5yrs and nothing to show for it even in the Niger Delta! I am still at a shock today that Jonathan could not ensure that Ibaka seaport at Akwa Ibom was given priority and completed before the end of his tenure. One vital thing we need for a massive turnaround in the East would be a functioning seaport capable of berthing large ocean liners so that our people can massively divert their import activities to the East but the stark reality is that Jonathan failed. He also promised to build a second Niger bridge before 2015 and here we are in 2015 and the bridge has not been built.

What if Buhari builds that seaport? What if Buhari eventually builds that second Niger bridge?

I am really angry with Jonathan. angry

Remarkable:

I would have loved to see "major" projects like the seaport and perhaps using his powers to get industries and investments both local and foreign into the area....

there are indeed beneftis enjoyed by the area by virtue of his position (schools, barracks, etc); all i was saying is that he seemed like he didn't want to make any obvious moves that will raise people's eyebrows that he was biased... which is to your point exactly that he was called the most tribalistic president, when we can argue the North got more than the SS region, depending on how you look at things.
so that is the reason I say he should have gone all out to further lift the former eastern region into higher levels of economic development; and then damn the consequences if they wanna call him names.

There is an Igbo saying that if I am called a frog-eater when I have never eaten a frog... when I am about to eat one, I will make sure that I eat a big, fat juicy one.

pls can you tell us what he did for the north.

Even if the proceeds from all the 2.2 million barrels/day is given to Bayelsa alone (excluding, Ondo, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Cross River and who again produces?), the masses of Bayelsa will still be poor, they will still be repressed and vanquished by the same thieving bas.tards that oppress and repress them blindly.

Prototype: Equatorial Guinea.
