Even if the proceeds from all the 2.2 million barrels/day is given to Bayelsa alone (excluding, Ondo, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Cross River and who again produces?), the masses of Bayelsa will still be poor, they will still be repressed and vanquished by the same thieving bas.tards that oppress and repress them blindly.

Prototype: Equatorial Guinea.

Nigeria kept the proceeds for 50 years, oya tell me how poor you are cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

If Asari Dokubo is serious about the Niger-Delta struggle,he should first bring back all his investments to the region, failure to do that,he is as usual a greedy monetary protection seeker like his Ijaw brother Barcanista.
We are not complaining. Is better our brother eat our money than those northerners who never see anything good about us,except our oil.

It should be an all-or-nothing response! No half measures!

barcanista:
Bro, abeg forget that old woman jare. She doesn't deserve the privilege of response.
In the past the Nigeria State are used to "giving" us whatever they deemed fit and not what we demand. In fact, our fathers accepted the peanuts even though it fell short of our demands. This time around there will be no peanut compromise. I am glad that Senibo Asari and the entire Niger Deltans are prepared to pursue these demands till the very end.

Divest all we care, it will not be felt.
Most of the cargo coming to lagos are industrial cargoes and most of it is consumed right in the SW.
I am all for it as long as it reduces the population pressure on odua state.
I don't agree wiv you. If you check the highest importersof ccontainer are from the East . consumer goods are mainly imported by the eastern er. Check thiseven the major Airlines realised that not everyone who go to Lagos lives in lagos we now go direct to PH and plane is always filled.

Election has come and gone, won and lost and as usual the threats of battle drums are brewing with the rights and priviledges of the people of the lower Niger aka THE NIGER DELTA PEOPLE CUM THE GOOSE THAT LAYS THE NATIONS GOLDEN EGGS occupying the front burner; In as much as am pained by the inequity being metted against the people of the Niger Delta, I still hold the opinion that at the moment I see no reason to agitate let alone fight for because doing same will term me insane in the Albert Einstein sense because it is tantamount to doing a particular thing over again and expecting a different result. Therefore;

1. It is a true fact of law that whosoever gets the benefits must also inherit the liability hence, if Jonathans presidency did not favor you or your people directly I see no reason why you wanna fight and die again for the few war reapers, if I may ask, what is the difference between a man from a far away land that reaps the delta and takes the benefit far away for himself and family and a niger delta "son" that plunders the benefits of the struggle to far away lands for the benefit of his few cronies. Note that the exit of Britain didn't make Nigeria successful how can the collapse of Nigeria make Niger delta better outside enthroning another monster.

2. If the benefits of the Niger Delta struggle under your leadership as a militant leader did not better the lives of the same people you claim to be fighting for in general during the benefits period then u lack the moral justification to call and arm those people again for your selfish gains or are you their slave/colonial master? What is the difference between you and the REAPERS you claim to be fighting anyway?

3. If you did not seek for independence of the Niger delta region, nor agitate for RESOURCE CONTROL when "our son was there" then you lack the moral justification to demand for same under a man who is not from your region because to my mind, if it's wrong for a woman to ask from her boyfriend what she can't ask from her father, I see no reason asking from a stranger what you can't ask from your brother.

4. If you did not provide succour to the families of those who lost their lives fighting the injustice you as militant leaders claim to be fighting under your watch, then you lack justice bringing same reason to make more mothers childless.

5. If you can afford to own a private jet as a militant leader or a university, tour the world, get the ears of a sitting president, own fleets of porshy cars, maintain leagues of armed security guards, sex the best actresses and control billions of naira; then you could have achieved providing enough transportation for your people at subsidised rate, if you can own a university outside the shores of the country then you could have afforded educating 20,000 of your indigenes annually and I see no better way to empower your people not even through arms,if you can afford to tour the world then you can't claim to lack ideas of the standard of life your people truly deserve to live by, if you could get the ears of a sitting president then I see no reason why half the problems were not resolved, one porshy ride equals setting up 500 entrepreneurs from your region, and if you alone use more armed guards than your entire community I wonder why you think there is high rate of crime when the bulk of the security forces are securing just few of you, if you can afford pleasures and frivolities then how can you question the moral decadence you indirectly fund in our societies today.

6. If they can deceive you to die for them in the name of Niger delta struggle when in essence it is as a result of revoking their illegal contracts and largesse cum lack of federal contracts and influence then you got what you truly deserve which is "death" for indeed the wages of sin is truly death.

7. A word is enough for the ...

THERE IS NOT NEED FOR ANY STRUGGLE....

WE ARE NOT MAFIAS, BUT LAW ABIDING CITIZENS

IF ASARI CONVENES A STRUGGLE BY THIS TIME....
LET HIM TELL US WHERE HE GETS MONEY FROM TO BUILD UNIVERSITY IN GUINEA REPUBLIC.
LET HIM TELL US WHAT HE HAS DONE FOR NIGER DELTANS SINCE HE STARTED RECEIVING BILLIONS TO PROTECT OIL PIPELINES THAT ARE ALWAYS SIPHONED.
ITS ALL FOR SELFISH INTEREST.....

WE MUST STAND FOR THE TRUTH...

ASARIS PAST DOES NOT PUT PORTRAY IN GOOD LIGHT TO CONVENE SUCH MEETING.
ITS FOR SELFISH GAINS.... I ADVISE ANYONE ATTENDING THE MEETING, NEVER TO ACCEPT PROMISES
COLLECT UR SHARE THERE AND THEN.

There is nothing wrong in holding meetings and also nothing wrong in a struggle geared towards the betterment of the people of the Niger Delta. My advise is that we should give Buhari a chance and see what he has to offer, who knows, he might turn out to be a blessing for the region. Jonathan was there for over 5yrs and nothing to show for it even in the Niger Delta! I am still at a shock today that Jonathan could not ensure that Ibaka seaport at Akwa Ibom was given priority and completed before the end of his tenure. One vital thing we need for a massive turnaround in the East would be a functioning seaport capable of berthing large ocean liners so that our people can massively divert their import activities to the East but the stark reality is that Jonathan failed. He also promised to build a second Niger bridge before 2015 and here we are in 2015 and the bridge has not been built.

What if Buhari builds that seaport? What if Buhari eventually builds that second Niger bridge?

I am really angry with Jonathan. angry

Without Nigrria's government conceding a minimum of 50% for Resources to places where derived, without conceding political restructuring and fiscal federalism, Nigeria must keep calm when the southsouth and southeast conduct referendum on the area's continuous belonging to Nigeria.

If only he was a child,I would flog him silly angry secondly, y did Asari locate his investment in far away Benin?! Is he not supposed to lead by example? Dis one is not matter of choice again! Lastly, y is it always Lagos? Y can't other regions be developed?! Y can't Nigeria move beyond concentrating every project in the West?!

how many states in the north do we have the almajiri school and what has being its impact since its creation.abt the universities u mentioned according to the presidency they wanted all states without federal universities to have one,so its no fault of the north if more of the unis were cited in the region it only shows there are more states in the north without federal unis than in the south or west or east.u mentioned railway i think those route u talked abt have being in existance for long.buying refurbished train dosent equate to building new tracks. Massive road projects in the north pls stop dis joke. jonathan didnt do anything for any region stop making baseless statements dat he favoured the north.the man failed everybdy.

Well this is a very good development. All I want to say is when the bombing of pipelines start it wld be dumb for the bombing to occur in the SS alone considering the environmental hazard, I wld suggest their new found brothers from the SE shld also participate in bombing pipeline installations in the SE( imo, anambra and abia) too. This way they wld truly be "brothers" in the struggle by action and not jst lip service.

Apologies to anyone who might see this my comment as tribalistic.

NB: your insults, suggestion, and comments are welcome.
