smokescreen4: Speaking about Christianity, maybe you should consult the bible on the curse placed on the women folks by that same God who will judge us. In as much as I say the world is a men's world, haven't you seen me saying that it is the source of our (men's) undoing and nemesis? Why do you choose to settle on the 'it is a men's world' part? Does it tickle you that much? After all, most wars and conflicts and crimes ever occurred usually have a woman at the center. Please be holistic when making reference to my comments so you don't portray me as being one-sided as someone has just caught the bug. Thanks. 2 Likes |

@kimoni, I don't know why nairalanders are disgustingly hypocritical. You read some posts and want to puke. Tufiakwa. @westendel, you should have followed Babyosisi's tactical method. I feel like your sister would have caved under quiet pressure from you in private than that public spectacle you went to create. Like I said before, don't let anyone guilt you into taking him back. They've started saying he did It because he wants a child. I wonder if it would be ok for you to go try some guy elsewhere for a child too. Or maybe try your husband's brother. Nne Your life is not meant to be miserable making up for the mistakes of others and your happiness is non-negotiable. You're not created to swallow pain like you're not human and jump up to "work on your home" when the person you're with is not working with you. Forgiveness is better when it comes from your heart not when hypocrites push you with bible quotations that they easily forget when it is their turn to practice real Christianity. @that separation. Good idea. Collect your thoughts calm yourself and make 'your' decision. Not the decision others feel you should make. Kimoni: 5 Likes |

*First of all I want to say sorry that you have to go through all this.. the betrayal, the denial even the confusion of not knowing what to believe. I may not understand exactly how you feel but I know it must hurt. *You saw some evidence that shows that your sister slept with your husband but then again it was denied. *Your sister was going to take an oath to prove her innocence. *The elderly and church members are reminding you that Jacob married thirty wives. Unless you are a child you know what you saw on that chat..perhaps sexting. And you must not be lying against your own family. You are not just suffering from betrayal but lies too. In your mind, you kept saying what do I do. Even if this is true, you can choose to forgive but only if you want to..really want to. On the other hand you can choose to divorce him,you have every right to. Jesus said that adultery is the only basis for divorce and there was no gender differences. If you choose any of these, please do so for your happiness and not because of what people will say or convince you to. Your happiness matters and you deserve it all! Once again be strong dear. 1 Like |

Who's the society if not people like you? Just admit you're as hypocritical as the others which on be all these garnishing If the wife sleeps with her bro-in-law and apologizes will everything be alright? Yes or No? You know where to place yourself when you answer that question. olu4life: 2 Likes |

Kaboninc, you are making this thread irritating. I bet if OP is a man stating his wife was sleeping with his younger brother cos she wanted to see if she could get pregnant. You will be telling the husband to run as far from that devilish woman ASAP. but when it is a wife dealing with cheating husband and you are saying "it is man's world" "men are above women" etc She should not divorce if her husband is truly remorseful. Would you tell a fellow man to stay with a woman, who has had several sexual encounter with his younger brother that he is raising, if she is very remorseful of her behavior because she was looking for pregnancy?? I hate hypocrite with passion. The hypocrisy is this thread is killing me softly. Just like one idiiot was telling me "the success of a marriage falls on the woman ONLY and if it fails, it is all her fault" Abeg I need panadol 11 Likes |

cococandy: Lol! You ladies marvel me most times I must admit. Always have one kine of interpretation for everything. No wonder you guys keep having emotional heartbreaks every time. By above it means he should lord over her. Kings and Lords make huge mistakes and they pay dearly for it; with their lives and even with the lives of their generations to come! Sometimes, this mistakes can be avoided only if ego and pride can be kept aside. But you and others have chosen to dwell on the 'it's a man's world'! Too bad it hurts. But it is the damn truth! |

Re: Please Nairalanders I Need Mature Advice by kaboninc(m): 6:19pm On May 19, 2015 |
OmoAlata1: You have issues with comprehension I must say. It is obvious you are a woman and certainly, you should think like a woman! (No apologies!) So bring in your emotional laden voice. It is allowed, only to an extent when by then the scales in your eyes would be off. If the woman should sleep with her husband's brother, she better be wise. 'Good' if the brother can guaranty her security and financial satisfaction. Else, she is on a long thin. And if the man leaves her, I tell you, he has options because potential/possible and prospective ladies are just too many. Forgive me for bringing this...Oshiomole just got wedded to a young beautiful lady who is younger than most of his kids! How certain can you say about the opposite? You make or seem to claim that there are men who would not stay with a lady who is having sex with the younger brother. Well, your claim is limited to what you know. In all, our society brought in 'morals' to act as checks and balances and also guide us in our affairs. That why you say it is 'not good' for such things to happen. Also, it also depends on what we want in life. If the lady who opened this thread feels she can find happiness in divorce, so good for her. If she can also live with the husband and acknowledge her sister, good for her. Like someone rightly said, someone who is good today can be so terrible tomorrow and vice versa. I am not a hypocrite. I tell you how it is because, it is just simply the truth. 4 Likes |

Why is the thread now about how it's a man's world blah blah blah? Abeg we've been hearing that forever, if there's need to keep preaching sermon from the 1500s, a thread should be created for it, stop disturbing us with the nonsense and that would be you, Mr Kaboninc. 3 Likes |

OP, the best thing to do is to leave those two alone and move on with your life, I mean, how heartless can a person be? Your sister is actually worse than I thought, the boldness, to swear with her life, kai! I'd rather not have a sister than have her as mine. 2 Likes |

You're still not making your point clear. It is a man's world because the bible permits him to sin and the woman is not? What's your point? You said the bible cursed women. In the contest of this scenario, what does that mean? You're trying so hard to make sense but failing woefully. At least stand by your opinion no matter how disgusting it is? Are men permitted to sin and women are not by virtue of the 'curse' God placed on women? I can see why some people leave Christianity(topic for another say sha) Does men being above women mean that women are logs if wood and should be fine sucking up whatever the man throws their way because God wants it so? Just an emphatic yes would make your point clear (it would be irritating but your point will be clear) or if your answer is no, why bringing up the phrase "it's a man's world in this kind of scenario?' It's a man's world means what exactly in this scenario? It is ok for him to what he did? kaboninc: 1 Like |

My forgiving threshold is super high but honestly this is beyond me Westendel if you work, take a break.....move out albeit temporary....cry,throw things, whatever makes you feel better.....then 'rearrange your life mentally' before taking a leap..... #Bigbearhug 1 Like |
