not all departments. all the general lectures i received in Abuja building were most times hell.

OAU, Ajose lecture theatre always mad esp for courses like SSC105, elective courses, etc...some will even stand on the podium like assistant lecturers

Even with the building of the new blocks? Suffered same as an undergraduate too. I pray things get better for our children.

What is there to curb?

In 2013...ASUU went on strike so that we could have better facilities in our universities.And they asked the government for 3 trillion naira.

Govt told them that they could only give them N1 trillion and that over five years.

In real life...our universities need over N10 TRILLION....if not more.

That is why I (sadly) advocate for increased fees. Because quite frankly we have no choice. Especially as oil prices have fallen. And even if we knock corruption down the drain....the fact is that it will only give us limited money.

Sorry boys and girls....but the above is what you get for N50000 fees. If you want to sit in high class, air conditioned lecture theaters....either pay fees as high as N200000......or fast and pray that oil starts selling at $130 per barrel. Because....we no longer have the kudi to fund education, and because our government has refused to get us off oil.

Who pays? The same Nigerians living below a dollar a day?

I no dey even think am twice to leave this kinda lecture hall

But what choice do we have? Continue paying the low and nice fees......and using the same poor facilties....then watch as some rich Nigerian kid trained abroad gets the job ahead of you?

1. The Senate of the school
2. The Dean and Head of Department
3. The lecturers for not refusing to work in this type of less conducive environment.

What money?

In 2009...it was N3trillion over 2 years.

In 2013....it turned to N1 trillion over 5 years.

So far....N200bn has been paid in 2014....during which time oil prices fell.

I doubt Govt has the money to pay universities.

Fees are going to go up. We have no choice. Otherwise Nigerian degrees will become uncompetitive.

I still blame the PDP govt ....because they refused to fund education adequately when the going was good.

Now oil prices have fallen, education budget has been slashed.

By 2019...fees will have gone up.

And I hope you blame GEJ then...for refusing to pay up the N3trillion agreed with ASUU back in 2009....in 2013....and for not making education an emergency. And for building those twelve universities....which have further drained the already limited education budget.

that's why nigeria universities are not recognised or rated low among other universities in the world. may God help this nation. our government careless about schools but pay more interest in football. if na stadium dem go built 150,000 capacity but schools?

Is that not one of the lecture halls of psychology, sociology or economics faculties, my memory fails me its been so long 18yrs? but it looks like where maths 101 and other compulsory electives for all freshers used to take place, I am not surprised it was always packed then, you had to get there an hour early to get a sit, memories, Unijos is actually a very good university, its only problem is that its hostels are scattered all over the place and its main site was, then, an uncompleted building site I dont know if that is still true, I remember I got a place at the village hostel but ended up selling it for 330 naria, even Naraguta was just too far, I ended up renting a room in anguawa rogo at the back of the university, Jos used to be a happening place, very safe and secure, full of beautiful women and money, parties every weekend, Good times
