Prince Uche Secondus Succeed Adamu Muazu As PDP Chairman by metronaija: 2:04pm On May 20, 2015
This was made known in a letter he wrote and sent to the Deputy National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus, Muazu asking him (Secondus) to step in as acting National Chairman in line with the party’s constitution.

The chairmanship position of the party shouldnt be given to any waka about with political godfather.

Uche secundus is the least qualified fellow to lead PDP back to power soon. Men who eat, drink and dream TRIBALISM arent fit for such positions. I was even expecting men like Sen Ken Nnamani to top the list.

People are "talking sense", while you are talking nonsense. Do you know Prince Uche Secondus before? How is he a tribalist? How can Ken Nnamani succeed Muazu in Acting Capacity when he isn't in line of sucession? Did Nnamani tell you that anybody is stopping him from seeking for office? What will you gain by sowing seed of discord?

@Topic: Muazu exit is a welcome development. Secondus and other NWC Members should also step aside.

I don't know what they are waiting for. Their offices aren't permanent Chieftaincy titles. Common-sense should have dictated to them that they are to resign along with their oga to allow fresh blood and fresh idea.

They have the choice of going peacefully or the dishonourable option of being forced out.

I just hope they bow out without causing so much unrest in the party that Muazu almost did.

Let them cause as much rancour as they want, PDP actually needs the rancour to become formidable, no shaking.

prince Uche is not a nice choice, they should have put Femi Fani Kayode there, since he says he was the one who help Gej to obtain 10.m + votes.

Lol.... whoever the PDP like let them make their national chairman. PDP is already a dead party. The choice of My fellow Rivers man, prince uche secondus puts final nail on d head of PDP. Now PDP is a regional party like APGA championed by South-East and South-South. Two regions that cannot ordinarily win presidential election as election result has shown. Bye bye PDP. Finally, my Amiable Governor, Governor Rotimi Amaechi has Buried the PDP as he promised b4 joining the APC. Amaechi my hero

I hope you and the rest are not just online members of PDP ........time to get fully involved wink.

Good to see Sabotuer Muazu go but,is Mr Secondus capable of ending the unrest and building a stronger PDP in order to kick APC out by 2019?... Tribalism should also be ruled out or that will be the end of PDP.

Sweetheart, most definitely some of us will be fully involved just waiting for the dust to be settled.

Uche Secondus to me is part of Muazu team that failedd woefully. He and others should escort their oga out of Wadata plaza so that fresh idea can be brought in. I believe they have what it takes to settle the party

Whoever forced muazu to resign without calling for an emergency national meeting to elect new executives clearly wants PDP to die sooner rather than later that some of us have predicted.
How can u have a chairman, even if in acting capacity for a day, from the south south and d BOT chair also from d ss.They have totally regionalized d party to a ss/se one and have started creating a dangerous mindset in d north that they don't belong there.
What any sensible party serious of still being relevant would have done if they insist on muazu's resignation is call an emergency meeting, force muazu to resign that day while a new executive with a still northern chairman,a southwestern vice chairman, secretary from d southeast while the BOT chair remains in d ss.No room for any acting bull shit shd have been allowed.
Anyway,PDP has never been run on any sensible and deep thinking ethos, just a congregation of people after their stomachs,so rational thinking is not often expected.

The problem with some of these people is their sit-tight attribute. Metuh should understand that PDP is not like APC where Lai Muhammed has been Spokesman since 2006 (if not pre-2006)). I believe a strong character from the South East or South West should succeed Muazu as Chairman, while a Northerner fill the position of National Secretary and BoT Chairman should go to the SE (if the SW produced National Chairman). Other positions can be shared according to laid down formular of the party. We need fresh faces

Am not surprised they refused to deactivate their "opposition mode settings".

Majority are failures in real life, adjusting to being the one in charge is not second nature to them.

@ emboldened: It is unfortunate that some of them are yet to come to terms with the task of defending the administration that is incoming. They are still seeing themselves as opposition. I hope they learn to adjust

They would soon realise defending an administration is a lot more difficult than criticising an administration.
