Very true! I paid that amount when I did mine in KD. However, you pay as high as 15K in Lagos.

Story, they charged me 8k here in their headquaters in Abuja.
And on the issue of fake DL, its a shame that FRSC does not have any apparatus to distinguish between the original & fake DL, I once beat them to that & some persons I know too

The problem is the official route is always officially difficult, I have bn on this case since December 2013 , people will naturally take the unofficial route.

That is what you pay at the bank,but when you add all the numerous 500bucks you pay for eye test,drive test ,searching for your name etc my came to about 12k before I collected my DL.

FRSC commission at D-Line in Port Harcourt. I was given a firm and ordered to pay the amount at a Union Bank opposite the building.

It was a bit stressful. Although some guys at the gate tried to play a fast one, but I ignored them as I was already aware of the procedure.

They will tell you what next to do after you've paid the amount.

An International Passport that is more complex takes the Immigration Office 2 - 3 working days to process and deliver.

I wonder why the DL takes almost forever to issue

I went to the office and met with the "oga at the top" in Umuahia and she told me point blank that I would pay 12k to her and pay another 1000 naira at the bank which I did.

The corruption Buhari is supposed to fight is endemic in the civil service and he can't control everyone from Aso Rock. So I'm really curious as to how corruption would be eradicated in our country.

When I went to pick up the permanent Driver's license, at 3:30pm, the lady there informed me that they had closed for the day. I pled with her and her reply stunned me. She said "if u want me to attend to you, give me N500!". I jejely left and returned the following day. After giving me my DL, she said to me "whatever you have, please give us".

I mean, this is a lady who gets paid every month acting like a market woman. I wonder how things are going to change in Nigeria.

He is talkin gibberish. I did mine at Alaka licensing office, Surulere, Lagos, they collected 14k from me. They all know whats happening, and they all earn directly and indirectly from it. Must not forget to say that since June last yr ,yet to collect

That means the 13k i paid to get mine would have gotten me 1 for myself and 1 for my sis...

And its even in FRSC office i did it
