Kogi,Enugu,Abia and Rivers go be our last bus stop. That was when i started having that filling. You know that kind of filling you get when you are leaving a place which you have stayed for 18yrs.

I would be traveling alone to the east for the first time. That nostalgic filling of leaving the pyramid city of kano, that euphorial filling of my new school and the fear of the unseen..

I decided to go with one Nigeria because last thing i ever wished was travel with some old, bore civil servant..

New road park in kano have become more popular following the resent bombing which clam the life of hundred of people due to the bombing,the security is now tight...

One Nigeria buses was not that new
the way he made it. Its was ok anyway.

"madam how much be ticket?''
"na 3000naira oo but sit done finish na attach na remain''.
How much attach?
"na 1700 ''.
"oya give me one''.

I collected my ticket(attach) and on it was written ''bus 17 attach number 12''..

The bus was a 64 seater bus, thirty seat on both side and the ramaining four was located at the back. Those who paid for seat were all seated and the attacher were standing at the meddle of the bus. Standing on the attach are 15 people, fourteen of which are guys and the remaining is dressed like a tom boy. Most occupant of the bus were young Nigerins between the age of 17-30.. One Nigeria was painted green white green...

"oboy fine fine girls dey this motor oo'' the guys standing behind me on attach lamented.
"chei see that particular girl oo, she make sense no be small oo..
" make i go chyky her, who knows she go dey my bills''.
"broke ass that girl no be your size oo''. The other guy said.
"whach me do my thing''. And off he went.

She was tall, slim and ebony was adouring her skin. From were i was standing, she had a round,firm,qverage boons. She was puting on a red top, and on it was written '' my boyfriend bought this top for me''. She was putting on a black trouser which brought out her coca-cola shape.

Good afternoon ladies and genttleman, my name is pastor kenn and i am here to market some of our product to you. Here with me is muster seed and if you have be traveling with this bus you would have know me by now. This muster have been found to be the solutions to numerous problem. Its was discovered of resent that...... He was stil saying when the conductor interuptered him.
" ehh pls am very sorry to interupt una, here the map of Nigeria and na for inside una go see all the state we go pass before we reach our final bus stop wey be rivers. Na just 50naira to get one''.Only five people bought the map.

Immediately after the prayer, the engine came to life and that was when i remenber that am yet to buy some thing that would at least keep my mouth busy....

Lacassera!!

Everyone burst into laughter which made me ashamed but i managed to smile then i tell am sorry make she no vex.

And some one shouted from the back'' all this boy wey pay for attach na to dey touch girls come dey form say una dey buy some from window''. And that envoke laughter from the travelers.

"madam bring change, na 500 i hold oo'' that was kunle.
"give me my bread, i no get change oo''. The bus had start moving slowly out of the park...
"kunle give her bread na, abi u wan steal her bread'' kunle friend was saying. He returned the bread to her after she threatened to shout.


Jane: Hello dad.

Dad: hello jane (jane was the girl kunle was trying to chyking)

jane: dad i just wanna tell you that am on my way.

Dad: i told you to go by flight but you choose to disobey me by traveling by road..

Jane: but dad....

Dad: don't but dad me, see you tomorrow. With that he hung up.

When the bus start moving, like other that were standing i used my hand to support my self by holding a place provided for all attachers. Outside the new road park was the naked city of sabon garri kano. Like always everyone was busy with their daily activities.

Then its hit me so hard that i would be leaving the pyramid city. Not just the city but my love once. "So na like this i go stand still i reach rivers''. A boy said in a more comic way. Traveling from kano to the southeast was a journey of not less than 13hours.

Just then the TV in the bus was switchon automatically and written on the screen was ''akilaah and the bee''...
