Hades - A Fantasy Fiction Poem. by Nobody: 9:25pm On May 20, 2015
"I'm dead," said the voice from the crypt.
My white linen shroud is all tattered and ripped.
I lie beneath this stone with my mortal remains.
And sing at night, shrieking ghostly refrains.

You will hear me at night when wintry winds blow.
On Halloween's Eve, when all we ghouls know.
That you living can hear us once in a year
And can enjoy being frightened of fear.

The rest of the time, it's as boring as hell.
Dark and ghostly like a night's old well.
Warlock and demons sometimes drop in.
But other than that, here's like a deserted ship.

Look, here's not what it was thought by we ,
And haunting is not what t'was cracked up to be.
Performed wails of a lonesome world rehearsed.
I had better times in the back of the hearse.

I know that at times life is horrid and dim,
And facing each day gets increasingly grim;
But, think of this brother, it’s not as half as bad
As lying here, bored, in this lonely pad.

You’re thinking of ending your life my friend?
Hoping that all of your troubles will end.
Well, listen to me mate, and take my advice,
Compared to this dead lark, living is nice.

Now given the choice between living or not,
There’s no competition, for sure you will rot.
Your teeth will fall out, your hair disappear,
And chances are nil of a football match here.

But, if you are serious in joining the dead
In spite of my warnings, and things I have said;
Just think, while you’re lying, mouldy and rotten,
Your mates will be partying, you’re soon forgotten.

Geez..Lekan! I love this! Loads of metaphor. The flow too is good and u used perfect rhymes, though monosyllabic. The message is so crystal clear I can picture it in my mind's eye; has me imagining a state of being conscious at death. The emboldened lines got me..

Thank you so much, sir, for the critique. I direly crave your indulgence on the monos. I am looking at incorporating more of the rap swag with some of my subsequent works, sir. Will you be there to help do critiques?

You don't have to be a writer. Just write something; something about love, the sun, the moon, your favourite flower, your favourite car, your gateman, anything, and post it. Lol

Network lock... It can't access any other sim card except the default SIM (AT&T in my case).
A SIM lock, simlock, network lock or subsidy lock is a capability built into GSM mobile phones by mobile phone manufacturers. Network providers use this capability to restrict the use of these phones to specific countries and network providers. A phone sold without a SIM lock is called a SIM-free or unlocked phone and the purchaser can insert a SIM card of their choice.
