The ceiling of the girls hostel at the
NYSC Imo State camp caved in today
on one of the bunks and there was a
girl on the bed, thankfully she
narrowly escaped. The girls also
claim there are snakes in the hostels,
the ceilings are leaking, bathroom
and toilets are bad. Choi!
Just this morning a snake was killed
in front of the hostel and a python
was killed in another hostel
yesterday. Our lives are at stake here.
The living condition in this camp is
extremely bad. Imo state government
and the federal government need to
do something about this." a girl from

Believe me, this is better than so many NYSC camps. Some of the camps don't even have bathroom or toilet facilities. They will tell you that camps are not meant to be so comforting since it is meant for training, using such as an excuse to deny corpers the basic necessities and exposing them to untold dangers and inconveniences. This is just bad. So many sectors are neglected by our govt, especially those that add value to people's lives but don't generate income for the govt.
