We are glad Yale took the position because it is now registered to the world and the awareness that Okonjo-Iweala is an incompetent and over rated technocrat is spread globally.

She has been projected, successfully and rightly so, as a liability...and not an asset to the national and regional economy.

This raises the risk and makes her unappealing for hire by any international body working for the upliftment of human society on a global scale.

If it's about humanitarian services and policy formulation, she deserves it, if it's about economic management, definitely a No No, she failed this time, she should've resigned long ago if Jonathan's cabal didn't allow her do her job. She kept defending a failing government because she hoped she could cover up for the excesses with the next 4 years, but it proved abortive, and now the radar has focused on her...she has probably realized her mistakes

The honorary degree has been handsomely paid for so revoking it will amount to a breach of contrary that will lead, and Yale might dearly for it.

Again, They've been put to shame. Let the whole world know that the agitation against NOI, had 99.9% ethnic and political undertone.

Even when you hear some of them who claim to be educated, some making analysis on radio here in lagos, you'll see how vivid the levelof bigotry is.

It's a shame.

Why Yoruba lost as some are postulating here? Don't be surprised if they release the names of people who make up the more than 5000 that signed the petition the non Yorubas might be more than 80%. I signed it and am not a Yoruba. I guess the east and south are shielded from the current state of the economy because Okonjo and GEJ are from these areas.

The level of opposition OBJ got from the west and their media can never be replicated by any other region. Prove me wrong.

Yoruba lost
Mugus like you tribalize everything. Dem say person fail, u say Yoruba lost? Until u accept all the rubbish in this worpd cos the actor is ur tribe. Even when GEJ did nothing for his pple in terms of infrastructural development, dem still wan die for him, whig is highest level of nepotism and despotism. Failure has no tribe,, race or religion, as far as the Nigerian economy is concerned NOI is a failure. Its on record that yorubas never supported Obj even as the president cos he was not the best candidate, and the torubas were never fully represented under Gejs administration and they never cried fowl. Peace out!

The "sophisticated" haters and tribalist can now stick their useless bigot opinion up their ass.

Does he think Yale is the overseas campus of Oduduwa university?? Egocentricity and ethnicity has really eaten deep into the society such that it is now exported abroad. A man in far away America moved for an honorary degree conferred on Okonja to be withdrawn for flimsy and useless reasons. When you think such deluded characters are few you get surprised to know up to 5000 votes has been garnered. All stemming from pure hatred!!

Wonder why they tell you only Adesina (GEJ Agric minister) performed very well and the rest performed poorly?

Wonder why they tell you Jonathan is the worst president alive and Obasanjo is an agent of change?

Wonder why Fashola is the best Governor Nigeria has ever known and Akpabio must be a thief?

Pull him/her down syndrome at its peak. One begins to wonder, how does an award given to NOI in a far away country remove food from the table of this sophisticated hater.

Woe unto Nigeria, a country that destroys its finest in the global arena due to ethnicity and hateful politics.
