No, Kano contributes.

Its a massive commercial city.
I don't get it

Lagos is also a populous state

And you can't compare the revenue they contribute to nigeria with that of kano......

But kano receive more allocation

I always laugh at the ignorance of the people when i hear them appraise Gov. Akpabio for developmental projects. If only they had known how much Akpabio has successfully embezzled in each of the project, they would know how thick Akpabio is ripping the dear state off. They think the construction of the stadium was for the interest of the general public when in essence, Akpabio knows how much he has embezzled courtesy of that project. That is one contract, then do same to every other contract plus the ones they evacuate directly from state account to their private homes/accounts without being held for accountability.

You are the biggest fo0l around for mentioning Akpabio's name in conjunction with embezzlement, of all these governors who amongst them have done 1/4 of what Akpabio has done in Akwa Ibom.

2).Brand new state University
3).1900 km of completed standard roads Using reputable construction firms
4).6000 classroom renovated and built
5).5 brand new general Hospitals
6).I specialist hospital the best of its kind in Nigeria
7).A state of the arts E- library with 15 million electronic book the best and first in west Africa
9).An International Stadium Nominated for world best stadium 2014 the best in west Africa
10).38 bridges including the tallest bridge you will find anywhere in Nigeria
11).Le meridien ibom hotel and golf resort
12).Ikot ekpene sheraton

21). linked 97% of all communities in the state to the National grid one of only two states in Nigeria with that record
and others too numerous to mention.

Talk about your governor Akpabio is a living legend and we in Akwa Ibom cannot thank him enough for daring to be different from his peers.

Lol. Sychophants have been holding Akpabio in appraisal since 1428. All these projects you mention, where are they found cos in this Akwa Ibom, those are ghost projects. Btw, have you put in consideration if the so called projects (after the removal of the over-inflated cost) commensurate with the available fund? You just came here to post unrealistic projects to defend your corrupt master. Let me tell, Akpabio wont escape the wrath of anti-corruption body after Buhari is sworn in.

Go get a feel of how the institutions of the Nigerian state are run and are funded..............
All Revenue accruals are kept to shared amongst the 3 different tiers of government along parameters set down by RMFAC.........
Both PGEJ and NOI, put up spirited resistance to the clamour by the 36 state governors for the sharing of the accruals saved in the ECA.......after blackmail in the press and a suit instituted at their behest.....the FG agreed to the sharing of what had been saved in that pool.....
NOI, then proposed recourse to another saving alternative..... The Sovereign Wealth Fund.....which met another set of backlash from the 36 state governors with another law suit........but the FG stuck to its guns.....and that is all that we have as savings........
A little mastery of the goings on around would do us all a lot.....
Theu keep blaming everybody but themselves! Why didn't PGEJ and NOI save FG's share for a rainy day like this?? Why didn't PGEJ and NOI pay marketers what had been appropriated for in 2014 fiscal yr??

Kano gets as much and even more than some of the oil producing states even in addition to their 13% derivation because according to our highly questionable census, their population is higher than most states in the south. We are expected to believe that contrary to the laws of nature, arid regions command higher population than the wet and southern parts. The moment the immediate past head of the NPC scratched this particular issue, he was shown the door.

And the same state governors that got the allocations are the ones asking for the account.
As if they gave us account of how they spent it in their states.

Amechi should come out now and tell rivers what he did with his own allocation.

Subsidy and SURE-P payments also made from the Excess Crude Account? Is Subsidy not captured in the budgets of the respective periods? Was input into the SURE-P Account not supposed to come from the product price hike of 2012? What does this woman take us for?

i've been watching with keen interest the way some gullible Nigerians insult this woman.
I begin to ponder and ask myself "what was her crime".

With all the propagandas flying during the electioneering process, never was any accusation of financial embezzlement or recklessness levied against her.

Even the eagle-eyed media and social media crew never had any corrupt case against her except the state of the economy which in reality has many players and influencers that are more powerful than NOI.

I laugh when I see under-aged dullards who didn't even pass Economics in WASSC turn economic experts to insult this woman on Nairaland.
Ensure your mother can spell economics before you quote me

God bless you for that statement. Her only crime was serving a nation that doesn't deserve her expertise. My only pain with her and this administration is how slow they are to disseminate information knowing truly well how these power thirsts crew had hijacked the media houses to peddle their propaganda to 70% of Nigerians that are illiterate in both political and economic matters. Naija,

The woman is wasting her time. No matter what she published, she is going to be tried for her financial mismanagement. The allocation published by the office of the accountant general of Nigeria has nothing to do with the money Charles Soludo and other Nigerians with insight and insider information on the high level corruption during the period of her management of the nation's finance.

I would have gone with some details, but with postings already read, it shows there is a dearth of knowledge or lack of exposure by those presently posting. She is trying to say those chanting for trial of corrupt GEJ officials are also corrupt. She will answer for her deed and the governors will also answer for their deed.

Whatever happens to his basic salary, allowances, incentives and others such that he still needs to dip his filthy fingers into public fund and do away with it all in the name of giving contract at an over-inflated and bloated sum. The public fund he has made away with, do you know how many community boreholes that could dig, how many primary health centres that could build, how many transformers that could buy, how many scholarships that could send, how many linked roads that could construct, how many cottage industries that could open, how many bags of fertilizers that could buy for the farmers, how many security vehicles that could buy and so on?
