Nobody should eat and not be able to wash up after themselves. It is only allowed in a few circumstances like.. is it your brother who's paying for your school? is his wife working? How much does she contribute in running the house? Is she older than you?

These are unfair justifications but if you don't like the way things are going, hustle and find your own place to share with your mates.

Either way, your sis inlaw seems a little spoilt. I personally don't see it as a big deal to clear up after other people but I dislike when they begin to take advantage of that.

If she used to clean up dishes for them during her courtship, the younger brother should understand now that she's the wife and mother of the house. I don't see any big deal cleaning up dishes. While I agree that the lady should have washed her dishes, I find the younger brother's reasoning behind not washing them condescending. I can't get over the statement "a lady who should be respecting men would bring him down". Because of unwashed dishes? A woman is not required to respect a man just because he is a man, she should respect him if, and only if, he deserves it.
