Nihilist: I don't like this talk. Even if we(black Africans) were used as slaves for their developments, there was a clear cut plan to develop. Even pple can testify that we were better off when the whites were still around. There is something wrong with the black man's mind. EOD 1 Like |

Asiwaju9ja: There is something wrong with your mind. The big powers have completely and continually subjugated Black territories over the last 400 years. You have been conditioned to believe you are inferior to the white race,so I understand the lack of self esteem displayed in your post. EOD 2 Likes |

An2elect2: You are lucky you've got the white man's education to be aware of the ills plaguing ur society and even know the right way to behave by tryn to correct another Blackman. I have seen first hand why d white man looks down on us. Some of us are soooo uncultured a little better than animals in behaviour and u wonder "are these humans? ". In Nigeria I lived in a 4 flat house and a white man was my neighbour we both occupied the ground floor. When the white man moved in, his part of the house was remarkably different in neatness and in style. Take South Africa for an example, since the whites gave back power to the blacks.(am not saying aparthied is good) The Country is on a downward spin. See Burundi. Even the not so whites are improving see Dubai. The difference is that the white man lives life in pursuit of excellence. The Black man lives life in pursuit of immediate gratification. Just like animals they don't plant they just harvest. |

Asiwaju9ja: How were we better off when the whites were around? Go and educate yourself and stop talking rubbish. We generated 270 mw at independence courtesy of imported industrial generators that powered a few selected GRAs. There were no power plants at independence. Most Nigerians had not seen a light bulb at independence. There was not a single university at independence. Most of our grandparents were stark illiterates stuck in the village at independence. There was mass malnutrition at independence. Most Nigerians walked around barefoot at independence. Children walked around nake.d at independence. Cars were only for the super rich at independence. There was not a single expressway in Nigeria at independence. The bicycle was the symbol of affluence at independence. A bush path led to your village at independence, not the nicely tarred road of today. The colonial rulers exported our resources for 63 years and left us with an undeveloped wasteland and bush at independence. We are 10000 times better off today than at independence. You could not live ONE WEEK in 1950s Nigeria. THANK YOUR LUCKY STARS FOR INDEPENDENCE. 1 Like |

ROSSIKE: ROSSIKE:Please ignore the brainwashed slowpoke. For over 400 years, Africa has been setup to maximise resource extraction by the White men. This fool thinks that sort of damage can be undone with the snap of a finger |

Obidikejr: How many years has the whites ruled us since independence. The whites might be crafty and corrupt, but they are smart enough to develop their own society. But blacks will prefer to burn down his country, and travel to UK, US or Dubai with stolen wealth. 1 Like |

Asiwaju9ja: South Africa's economy has more than QUADRUPLED in size since the fall of apartheid, and MILLIONS of formerly impoverished, excluded blacks have had their lives massively improved in that period. A fully functional black middle class now exists there and is continuing to expand. You must be a complete DUNCE to say they've been ''on a downward spin'' since the fall of apartheid. And Dubai the capital of UAE is lovely looking because UAE has a population of just 9 million but with greater oil reserves than Nigeria (pop. 170 million). She exports 3 million barrels a day compared to Nigeria's 2 million barrels. UAE can afford to build a 'Dubai' because she has nothing else to do with her money. Nigeria has 170 million people to feed, house, clothe and educate. It has nothing to do with skin colour. Use your brain and stop thinking like a slave. 2 Likes |

Nihilist: Stop the, excuses, if Blacks can't wake up after 400years, then we are doomed. The Japanese suffered bombing, the Israelis suffered holocaust, while the Chinese suffered invasion. But today they are world powers. Africa has one of the most educated humans on earth, yet we lack to will to develop. 1 Like |

ROSSIKE: You just jump on the bandwagon to insult pple. You don't have class. Let me try and explain to u. Maybe u will learn. Nigeria's economy is the biggest in Africa and developing fastest. Is there light? Was it not better b4? The light situation that is. In d same vain SA's infrasructures are going down brother, lights is like naija now, roads getting bad with no maintainance. To the others bashing me, Don't worry, When you grow u will understand the sense in what am saying. Let me try to sum it up for you with this. It is only a white man that will plant a tree that takes 150 years to enjoy its full beauty. Note that the tree will take 150yrs to mature, he will not see it grow, yet he plants it. His child nurtures it, his grand-child tends it for his great-grandchildren to enjoy its fruits. How many Blackman can do that? How many Blackman has a successful business that he has handed down to his children? Even now the whiteman is telling us to plant a tree, to replenish the ones felled. Still thinking of 2morow for us. 1 Like |

Asiwaju9ja: How was it better before? I just told you we generated 270 mw at independence and that the colonialists built no major power plants. Our first plant was Kainji dam commissioned in 1968. We had no national grid at independence, so most homes weren't even wired. 96% of homes in Nigeria used CANDLE LIGHT at independence after 63 years of uninterrupted white rule. So whatever we have today is the best we've ever had. In d same vain SA's infrasructures are going down brother, lights is like naija now, roads getting bad with no maintainance. Generally, service delivery has gone bad.The minute you start providing for millions of people more than you did previously there will ALWAYS be a strain on resources. The apartheid govt provided only for the minority 5% white population while the majority blacks lived in shanties. The new black govt came in and spread the wealth, meaning no more favouritism for a few. This CAN lead to a generally reduced standard of service delivery, but it is FAR PREFERABLE to what obtained previously. That is how you should view it. If I decided to spend all Nigeria's money on say Kwara people, will Kwara not look like heaven? |

We deal with such Racist A**holes all the time here in S.A the same dumb people who don't even realise that when black people came into power the Apartheid Government was throat deep in debt they've easily forgotten that the S.A people they hate so much had to first pay off all of their international debts and clean up their mess. The one thing people don't realise is that the Current S.A is a lot more modern and prosperous than it ever was during the Apartheid Era. They f*cked up the country. To those who think our infrastructure is going down, then can you please explain why south Africa is no longer considered as a 3rd world country but a newly industrialised Country. Even though we mate hate it, but Most South Africans know that the reason behind the Loadshedding *Power cuts* is due to the fact that our Government has decided to upgrade and carry out much needed maintenance on all of our Electrical infrastructure it is small sacrifice to make, which will benefit all of us in the long run. Not forgetting that we are Building new Power stations, and maintaining what already exists we are trying to avoid being in the same situation many African Countries are in right now where their Electricity Distribution network hasn't been maintained since it was created. 1 Like |

emmatok: Ol Boy leave them. The Asian tigers nko! Malaysia, Indonesia. Etc. I am part of that black race but we need to tell ourselves the truth. Mandela Said that in order to beat the white oppressors at their game(aparthied) he had to study the white Oppressors. Their way of thinking, their language etc. In order for us to be successful in life, we had to learn the whiteman's knowledge (school) I read a book about the Jewish people and why they are so successful "Breaking the Jewsih Code" in that book, it was exposed that the Jews have a code for everything purportedly given to them by God. Code for living, eating, doing business, worshipping etc. And if u are diligent enough to practice these codes it leads to a succesful life. In conclusion, the black man's mentality of living for the now is what I think is pulling us back. No looong term plans. 1 Like |

Asiwaju9ja: Mr Man, a white man can only transfer his assets to his offspring in a long-term thriving economy. Their economies have been thriving for the past 200 years minimum, which accounts for why they can hand over successful businesses to their children. African economies only began thriving in the 1970s at most. Prior to that the colonialists rap.ed the continent and left us with undeveloped nations at independence. So we are just starting out compared to them. It has nothing to do with skin colour but with economics and politics. |

Asiwaju9ja: Do you know why lights are going down like Nigeria? Don't forget that the news mostly tell half the story of what's happening. I've seen what those International news say and write about the Power Cuts. All you see is "Rolling power Cuts continue to anger South Africans." but they some how forget to mention that those power cuts are due to a nation wide maintenance of our Electrical Infrastructure which will benefit every South African in the Future. 1 Like |

Asiwaju9ja:The 4 or 5 Asian tigers were DELIBERATEY selected and made 'tigers' by the victorious western allies after WW2 in order to create a capitalist bulwark against rampaging communism. This the west did by granting them unprecedented access to western markets for their finished goods, endless finance and credit, and technology transfer etc. That their development was artificially generated from outside can be EASILY seen by comparing their living standards to their other Asian neighbours like Vietnam, Burma, Nepal, Bangladesh, North Korea, Sri Lanka etc, whose living standards are worse than most African states. This is why you need to study and research world history and economics instead of attributing everything to skin colour. 2 Likes |

ROSSIKE: You have argued constructively here and I see ur reason. But, other pple(won't mention race here to avoid wahala) plan ahead for these things. This is my arguement. Planning ahead. ROSSIKE: Here u go again insulting ur uncle, the western world(whites) calculatively through planning(long term) developed the Asian tigers in ur own words. So they have a formula for development? Ehen! Talk true? This can only mean that, they(the whites) can decide to make Sudan one of the most developed country in Africa over a period of time. To create and make any impression they so desire through a calculated and step by step plan? Why can't we do this on our own? Some African countries, have tried to follow or manage the laid down pattern of development left behind by the colonial masters and others have outrightly bastardiszed the system. The results is evident in the current states of the countries. |
Re: Foreigners Mock Nigerians Over Fuel Crisis...see Their Comments! by Nobody: 12:11am On May 26, 2015 |
Asiwaju9ja: There's no great mystery to development. The most important thing you need is cheap finance and a ready market for your finished products. If you have those two things in place you can become developed in under 20 years. |
Re: Foreigners Mock Nigerians Over Fuel Crisis...see Their Comments! by Asiwaju9ja(m): 12:27am On May 26, 2015 |
ROSSIKE: You know this by virtues of ur white education. Why have they not done it? Even copy the prototype. 20yrs? Who want do am? The Black mentality am talking about won't let us PLAN. Why can't our Govt provide source for cheap finance? Why can't we produce? We have the ready market even locally . We no dey produce fuel again? Why can't we refine locally? Yet they destroy hundreds of illegal local refineries in d creeks. It shows that refining is a very easy technology it is just the scale and sophisticvation of the method that is the koko. Abeg make I go sleep na fone I dey use and I done dey type anyhow. Blackman make we wake up and do things right. |
