Good morning all. I have been a silent reader. I decided to go through JFK using Air France. My journey was smooth till we landed in New York and were not allowed to go close to the airport. That was when the drama started. I am not a good story teller but here it goes. Then the captain says that the police was going to search that a threat had been identified on our plane. For those who watch international news stations you may have come across the news that a flight was escorted to New York with fighter jets. I was on board that flight. They didn't let us know the gravity of the situation. We were kept in the plane for over an hour. When we were eventually let out, it was like a scene in the movies. From K-9 units, to FBI agents, police, fire trucks even people in bomb disposal gears where waiting for us. We were then asked to to line up and identify our bags before a bus to took us to the airport. It was then an airport security officer asked us if we were on the air france flight from paris and we said yes that he told us that there was a call that there was a bomb on our plane. Bomb ke. Bomb wey no catch us for Nigeria na for US them wan blow us up? After leaving the airport to get to our connecting flights there were so many tv cameras waiting to get the scoop from passengers. Finally got to gate of my connecting flight...and there we were on CNN. This was my first trip to the US...it will definitely take me some time to get over this scare. Well for those using JFK, i traveled with my mum. The CPD officer did not spend more than 2 mins with both of us. Just asked what I came for. How long I was staying (11 weeks). How much I had on me ($8,500) Who was paying for the hospital bills (Myself and Husband). Where I was going to give birth. Then stamped us both for 6 months. We declared food stuff but were not sent to agriculture. No secondary inspection either. 4 Likes |

Hello My people, Please I need answers to a few questions anyone can help or advice. 1) Does any one know the requirements needed to open a Bank of America bank account? 2) Does anyone know any online store that sell baby stuffs and accepts a Nigerian Debit card online, billing address compatibility has been an issue for me. Most stores I have tried only accepts billing address from US or some selected country as a result shopping online has been a major challenge for me. Please I don't like going to malls to shop, coupled with my sprained feet now I can't walk for so long, I would prefer to shop online. Please anyone who has successfully checkout with a Nigerian card on an online store help or advice. Biko baby go soon arrive and I never buy things. 3)Am presently in Houston, I need an affordable Cab service or private cab service who can I call to take me places for an affordable price. Has anyone used a cab person or service before in houston, Please help. Please am waiting for response, thanks my people. |
Got in to the US yesterday at 2pm Dallas time /8 pm Nigerian time. God granted us favour from Naija to the US (travelled with my mum). Arrived MMI very early eventhough i have checked myself and mum in the previous day. No fit to fly or scan asked for. I am very heavy for the number of weeks i am presently. I also requested for a wheelchair. It was one of the best decisioWe flew KLM, an awesome flight and crew members. I was so taken care of from Nigeria to Amsterdam, and my 2nd leg of the trip was more than awesome. The crew members made sure I was given enough food and water. They gave me 150 cl of water. Changed our seats to a more comfortable one. Kept coming ote] pls which accomodation are u using in El paso and what is d bill as am changing my mind to come over to El paso too . 1 Like |

missusadey: Mehn I haven't checked that email in a long time. So I'll just answer u here. I used North Atlanta Obgyn @ 5780 peachtree Dunwoody road, +14042550621. Dr's fee is $2200. U have to send in ur records from naija or wherever u have been receiving pre-natal care. They'll look thru it and let u know of they'll take u on and also the cost depending on how many weeks u are when they take u on. I joined them at 28 weeks. They have like 8 Drs there. U can pick one or they'll assign u one. As for my particular Dr, I'm not sure I wanna spill her name becoz I'm a jealous patient! Lmao! She was so good to me and hilarious lady. She made sure she was the one that delivered my baby. Love her for that! Anyway beg me small let me think and decide whether to tell u her name. 1 Like |
