Lagos is building The Eko Atlantic city, aimed to be one of the biggest things in Africa shortly. Ogun is supplying the Labour force and getting connected by metro soon, Oyo Is silently copying from Lagos, Ondo will snatch the Ibaka deep seaport project (There's an comparable health center in Ondo town too) , Osun and Ekiti also have their own innovations.
It's cos most of you are quite unenlightened and less travelled that you think Akwa ibom state is now suddenly the best in Nigeria. South Western States are far advanced in REAL things, not entertainment and pleasure.

Genuinely, I am not jealous. I prefer if people of Akwa ibom are living in luxury than when one politician is. You will see from my past comments that I am simply fighting for my fellow citizens. This includes; the unpaid workers, unemployed youth and so on.
I will rather we unite and fight corrupt leaders than defend poltician. Think of it this way, I prefer if you are a millionaire than a corrupt politician.

To be honest, whatever this man's shortcomings may be, he has completely re-defined governance! How is he doing it? I know you'll say he got a lot of money? You may even say he stole much more but I am compelled to commend him. I think at the end of the day, it’s not entirely about whether you are APC or PDP. Lots of what Amaechi did (and most were in his first term) were done while he was a PDP Governor. Of course, there are good APC Governors so it’s really down to individuals. Again I hate to disappoint you but even the Governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido who has handed over to his SSG and gone abroad, did a lot -ask natives of that State. All you read in the Press is the debt he left and how his son was caught in suspected money laundering -not that I am defending the said allegation which have not be established in a court of competent jurisdiction.
Governor Jang of Plateau State is more known nationally for the NGF 19/16 fiasco, issues with salary payment, the crisis in the State and "Berom agenda" yet again, I lived in that State and visit frequently, I am not sure any ex-Governor of that State other than late Joseph Gomwalk did what he has done in terms of physical roads etc even if according to you (and it might be correct) all are in Berom land -the roads are permanent property of Plateau State!
I can go on but of course there were disastrous and woeful performance by some PDP State Government starting with my own!
I just pray this new crop of Governors and Mr. President will even try to make small changes -I do not have messianic expectation and won’t be disappointed if I don’t see very radical changes.
If you disagree with me and I didn’t get my facts correct, forgive me but I am sure you know this doesn’t call for insult or accusation. I am your fellow citizen who wants the best for our children in the future!

I have been reading for a while now without commenting, I wanted to make sure I read all the comments to the last page. I have done same with the previous posts and updates. I must say am overwhelmed. I'll just overlook all those critics who have said one foolish thing or the other about the progress of Akwaibom state and its outgoing governor, I'll just assume they are ignorant or have never in their lives visited the great 'Akwa-Abasi Ibom State' I have watched this state grow, I am a bonafide citizen of this great state by birth, not by naturalization or registration, I have been in this state when it was nothing, when no one heard or knew anything about it, when we were referred to as 'minority'. That time when someone would ask which state u hailed from and when you mention Akwa-Ibom, they'll be like 'what state is that?' When everybody always called or referred to us as the calabars. Oh! Those awkward moments when people treated us like commoners or dirt bags because we hailed from a minority state. Now that time is gone, its a new era. Am sorry, but permit me to refer to these haters as 'elements' it is said that 'only he who wears the shoes knows where it pinches or hurts' governor Akpabio has washed the shame off our faces, now everyone wants to identify with Akwaibom the state they once treated as minority. I recall one disgruntled element mentioning or rather asking if we have good roads, well we do, I live in Akwaibom state, even the remote villages all have tared roads and pipe borne water as well as constant power supply. My humble advice to all you haters is, just take a trip to Akwaibom state, make a tour round all the villages, after then, you can run your mouths all you want. Someone mentioned also that there ain't no hospitals but one. My dad is a medical doctor, he actually is a consultant in one of the many hospitals built by Akpabio, though its located in a village, but the hospital is heaven on earth. Akpabio is a man of style, he's got class, he's one in a million governor, no one can take that from him. He deserves the commendations, why not just give it to him and stop the hate, no one is perfect, he has his shortcomings, everyone does, but when the good superceeds the bad, then its good. There's no perfect governor, several are good, buut Akpabio stands out. The kind of transformation or change that Akwaibom has undergone is the kind we need in all the states in this country Nigeria, but how many governors are ready to do what he's done? Forget the huge amount of budget or allocation, he could have decided to pocket all of it like his predecessors, but he decided to use it for something that's gonna benefit me and you, am sure in future we'll all look back and say, welldone Akpabio! Osun state has 4.2million people with 197 billion naira yearly budget, while Akwa ibom has 4.8mill people with a budget of 496 billion naira.
Now the workers haven't been paid just like in osun while akwa ibom has one of the highest unemployment in the country(More than Osun).
Tell me, how can you make sense of this with the biggest budget and one of the best per capita.
If you think this is acceptable then it's fine, but I think it's time we should start fighting for our rights.
If he was doing all these things with Osun's budget then I will call him the best governor in the world

Again If say Ekiti which is said to be the state that receives the lowest allocation form FG decides to make a budget of N500b when its actual revenue is 40bn of what consequence is the unrealistic N500bn budget?
Note it is not illegal to make any plans any state can budget $100bn if they like but it wont change their actual revenue.
