Hello house,
I ve been shuttling between guinea and sierra Leone for the past three months and I found out that cars in guinea Conakry are relatively cheaper than in Nigeria or Cotonou.
If I buy a car in Guinea I am permitted to use officially for 3months in ALL west African countries, in sierra Leone here one could use d car for more than three months depending on ones connections.
My questions are, bringing d same car to naija would one need to be clearing the car at each country's border? Is there anyone in d house who has gone thru this before or is there anyone with Nigeria customs authority who can tell me specifically what would be required of me while entering Nigeria? Would it be a worth while venture?

I await informed opinions

Thank you.

You can drive your car from Sierra Leone to Naija, you are require to pay pass-fee (Le parse) at Lome and Seme border which cost about 7k.
Though you might need int'l insurance and driver's License.

if you are in guinea you would need to inquire from the Guinean border the requirement for taking a Guinean registered car on an international trip. usually the main requirement is an ECOWAS brown card (international insurance)and ECOWAS travel certificate (international vehicle licence). these doesn't cost so much.

driving across the international border you would need to obtain a laissez passez (right of passage for each country) that you will drive through. the amount vary from country to country but it isn't a lot. for example Benin(10 000 CFA) and Togo is almost the same price. you would need to find ivory coast and Ghana

after you arrive in Nigeria, you will need to consult custom office for their requirement and duty payment to register the vehicle for use in Nigeria.

most of these information are subject to changes on a periodic basis.

but really, you must be sure that this venture is really worth it because it is really a stressful
