My sentiment exactly. I'm yet to see a thread that will boost human development in Akwa Ibom state. Good governance goes beyond beautification of capital city and hotels. The hotel looks good but to me I consider it misplaced priority just like the stadium.

If you think Akwa Ibom is a Poor State then you're gettin it wrong. Uyo alone is 100 times more beautiful than the whole Port-Harcourt Put 2geda.

What we need in Uyo now is Industries/Factories and i believe that's the incoming government's priority.

I am not from Akwaibom, but all I know is that this man has positioned his state for greatness. Even if people likes his projects or not, this man can see what other selfish governors cannot see. He has seen a future beyond oil and rather than waiting for the federal government to diversify for him to follow suit, he is diversifying and waiting for the federal government and other state governors to follow. If cross river governor had built on the success of Donald Duke, it would have had no worry about oil or no oil. Good governance is not a party affair, it is an individual love for his people because even if the person is misbehaving, the party never voted him and cannot do anything to him but rather the people with the power of thier votes.
lets see, Amechi got almost the same amount Akpabio got, but we can judge for ourselves who people appreciates (sentiments apart). I only wish the new Akwaibom state governors consolidates of his achievements which I have no doubt since Akpabio is going to Abuja to represent his people more better and attract more dividends of democracy for them.

1) are u sure they are mobil direct expartriates or expartriates of contractors working for Mobil?
2) What is the number of these expatriates we are talking about (Assuming we are even sure the are Mobil Expartriates) that will make them occupy 40% of Akpabios hotel knowing fully well that inside QIT itself they have a heavily fortified residential "village" they invested so much on?
