@op, Igbos also call it "echieteka" which loosely translates to * tomorrow is far". It is a named coined to connote the high venomous nature of this creature. Victims of its bites usually don't survive the next day if care is not taken. The Hausa name, gobe de nisa means the same thing. Pls, where do you live? I have so much phobia for snakes.
