Like someone had rightly said yesterday, many children are on nairaland. And to even think a mod pushed this to the front page justifies the earlier claim. Well, probably to fetch some money anyway |

Eziachi:Please.....do me the favour of obliging me with information of when Pres. Mohammed Buhari rose within the ranks in the Nigerian Army and was decorated a Five Star General.......those who liked and shared your post too should offer their assistance..... I never knew a Major General is now the equivalent of a Five Star General...... The lies from the den of the APC is indeed virulent...... |

all I can say is that we have children on Nairaland. Buhari did not order defense Headquarters to move. He ordered the command center for the WAR to be coordinated from Maidugiri. What is so hard to comprehend about that? Why did we keep getting conflicting information or no information about the fighting in the NE? ... because everything was being coordinated from Abuja, while the war front was in the North East. How will someone wining and dining in Abuja be concerned about the welfare or understand the particular needs of the soldiers fighting thousand of kilometers away? Or how can they control the narratives that we hear? You dont think part of the problem was that Boko Haram kept giving updates from the war front whilst our own soldiers who were fighting and also winning certain battles found it hard to communicate their victories to the outside world. When General Petreaus was head of the US war in Afghanistan and Iraq he did not sit down in America and plan strategy and tactics from The Pentagon he was based in Iraq. What is so hard to comprehend about this please? 6 Likes |

easily this could have passed up as a good read, taken the writer must have spent some time researching the US Army, and his obvious attempt @ getting recognised as a political analyst but he only gave himself up as a poor student. He comes across as clueless as his write up. "Command Centre" does not mean relocating the entire defence ministry to Bornu. Using same US Army you used as case study, i will like to ask if while researching, you specifically read the US Army fought the Korean, Vietnam, Gulf, Somalia, and most recently the Afghanistan wars with their command centre located in the USA? For educational purpose, pls watch the movies; Black Hawk Down, and We were soldiers, maybe this will further enlighten you on what command centre is and how it works along side your research work. 1 Like |

ifedubatoochukw:By the way, from what authority do you claim to be writing this from? Are you a military historian, a serving, retired or discharged officer? If you are neither one of these categories, then nairaland is a wrong place to post this thread 'coz no one would save you from constantly being filleted. Even if you are a 'sound' political analyst you can't have a valid or argumentative justification on this issue. You are claiming to know better than a man who takes decisions well guided by the ethics and norms of his primary constituency. Do you have to say something at all? 1 Like |
