I am a "technophile" and I spend most of my time on my computer and online always doing one thing or the other, from watching videos, reading blogs to downloading stuffs.

However, in recent times, it has become really annoying for me when using the web and the reason is this: virtually all websites alive today are publishing ads.

Even though I have nothing against displaying ads on sites and blogs, it should however be done in such a way that it won't affect reader's experience.

Now, just hovering my my mouse or my finger(on my smartphone) over a site, a new tab will pop up redirecting me to an advert.
I am always having to close tabs and clicking a link twice to get anything done, I really wish there was something I could about it, honestly.

Is it that bloggers and site owners are this desperate to get money or they just enjoy infringing user's experience?

What more can I say bro? But I think you're one of those baby net surfers who only use the internet for fun.

No Offense here, I'm not a blogger but I admire what they do inclusive of the ideas they pull just to survive.

I'm a web developer and I've looked into your case and still think you surf the net for fun.

well, I don't if surfing the net for fun is a bad thing, and I also don't know what made you conclude that I surf the net for fun.
I practice programming online and read all sort of articles and publications.
Well, since I find those things to be fun, then maybe you are right.

Thank you anyway for looking into my case.

Not really looking into your case. When people make certain complains about the net, I wonder why cos you are being fed up with it while somebody else where is making tens of thousands of it.

You said you're a programmer and you are fed up already? I rest my case and you're welcome.

Yes, I am a programmer and that does not mean I have to be content with been disturbed.
Imagine a client coming to your site, "ckdigital", and every link they click redirects them to another ad site. I am pretty sure they will feel good, right?

This is the most annoying part! angry I have to switch to a data consuming browser because of these annoying pop-up ads, seems like that didn't even completely solve the problem despite using Ads-blocker some Ads still find a way to pop out.

OP, install following apps..... The avast anti virus web plugin is optional. But it makes my browsing experience exceptional by blocking cookies and trackers websites love to inject in tabs and cache. Do you know that I don't see one ad on my laptop? Not even one! I even have a friend that wants to design one plugin that will make me not see Nairaland in built ads. Can you beat that?

To install them, (using firefox browser); click on "tools" on the top of your browser and then click "Add ons". Then click on "Extensions". In the top most right corner, you will see a space for "Search all add-ons". Then type the exact names of the add-ons in the picture I attached. When each comes out, click on install. Remember to restart your browser after each installation so that the add-on effect will take place. Make sure that you install all of them ooo! You will see how your browsing experience will improve!

THANK ME LATER!

Any site that focus more on adverts than content and reader satisfaction is still learning.
There are ways to place ads so it doesn't infringe on readers experience, yet gives you revenue.
Moreover, increasing bounce rates doesn't help your site.
So stop rushing to make money online and build your brand first.
When it starts flowing, you will be smiling to the bank satisfied.

When I took your love for granted, it was hate that I chose and accepted. I did it out of ignorance,, tnanks for your endurance, you lived with my excesses for years, you accepted my imperfections in tears, tears for my sake, I was lost, I didn't know where I was going, you kept on searching with your love as my protective clothing, from stormy weather and extreme cold, which I had ignorantly exposed myself to. I am glad you found me when you did, I was close to death but you didn't give up on me. You rescued me and gave me shelter in your heart, in your heart, I am protected from the adversities of life. Why did you rescue me? please give me the reason, you saved a misfit, someone whose life didn't have a meaning, you saved a loafer from self destruction, I rejected what was right and chose meaningless isolation, an isolation from love and compassion, an isolation from your affection and passion, I guess I will never know why. http://ayietim.

I get what you mean
You have probably downloaded some apps that enables you to download videos from the internet.
Try to un-install those apps from the control panel. It will de-activate those ads
Try it and thank me later.

As an advertiser myself, I understand the predicament of people like you, the end users. We're trying our best to ensure that web marketing is done in the most professional and less-intrusive manner as possible.
