Japan's Minister of Defense warned on Saturday that land reclamation projects in theSouth China Searisked plunging the region intodisorderand urged nations, includingChina, to behave responsibly. "If we leave any unlawful situation unattended, order will soon turn to disorder, and peace and stability will collapse," Gen Nakatani said during a speech at the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore. "I hope and expect all the countries, including China, to behave as a responsible power," he said. Tensions have risen in the South China Sea in recent months over China's construction of artificial islands as it tries to assert its claim to the potentially energy-rich waters around the Spratly archipelego. |

The Spratlys are claimed by half a dozen countries including the Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam and China. Asia Maritime Transparency Initiative Five different countries control some land features in the Spratly Islands, while just one state controls the Kuril Islands, Liancourt Rocks, Senkaku Islands, and Paracel Islands. Nakatani proposed what he dubbed the "Shangri-La Dialogue Initiative," - three measures to bolster maritime and air safety in the region, including round-the-clock monitoring of airspace by members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). Establishing any system of round-the-clock safety patrols by 10-member ASEAN would require a level of integration not yet managed by the regional association. |

As it weakens the constitutional restraints on its military, Japan is looking at taking on a stronger security role in the South China Sea by extending maritime air patrols. U.S. military commanders have said they would welcome such patrols as it would help counter balance China's overwhelming influence in the region. Neither Japan or the United States have any territorial claims in the South China Sea. (Writing by Tim Kelly; Editing by Rachel Armstrong) Read the original article on Reuters. .....So, they (China and the US) don't have any claim in the south China Sea, then why are they complaining? What is even wrong with the US? How would they feel if China should leave for the Gulf of Mexico and start claiming territories or interfering in them? One day, this US go hear 'whin'... |

It is in the United states broader security interest to maintain peace and order in the south china sea area. Any aggressive move by anyone from this region would degenerate into a series of catastrophic armed hostilities that would draw japan into direct conflict with china and with japan finally busy, North Korea will make Her push into the south. While Russia and India would act as detterence against any intervention from the united states. Any silly move by the united states would see her acting alone a even the NATO would not want to have anything to do with a conflict of this scale, europe will sue for neutrality and focus on Russia in the North East. While india will retain a neutral position until either her or her russian ally is harrassed, china will obviously create a false scenario to drag them into the war and once they are all in japan will prove to small a foe for them, they will then focus their aggression on the united states. Before Nato will deliberate joining the war or not joining the united states military aparatus would have been badly dismantled so much that she will not be able to participate in international politics as a power. European power seeing the level of damage done to the united states will sue for a peace negotiation heade by neutral and peace inclined nations (non nato member states)Brazil,Nigeria, and,Algeria. The peace agreement would include this terms total decommisioning of all foreign military bases ( US) destruction and decommisioning of all the US nuclear arsenal, including the ones in her hidden nuclear submarines. Dismantling of all universal armed forces e,g us marines and french legionaire. And a ban will be placed on the us from engaging in any military activity for the next ten years. I know some people will feel this is impossible to happpen but a Global war always bring about a new world power. 1 Like 1 Share |

It is not Japan, it is the U.S. and its war industry. They want a war to covert the fleecing of America. Instead of investing money in health care, teachers pay raise and improving urban transportation, the suckers want to pour billions of dollars in weapons to kill millions of innocent women and children. |
