Nigeria recently overtook South Africa to become
Africa's biggest economy. But the country faces
myriad problems - including a brutal Islamist-led
insurgency, high levels of poverty, and widespread
corruption. Can it now become the continent's
leader? BBC Africa canvassed the views of both

Nigeria is already leading Africa by the sheer size
of its population, its emergence as the largest
economy on the continent and its cultural prowess
via its music and film industry across the globe.
History provides further evidence of this in
Nigeria's peacekeeping role in West Africa, which
brought stability to the region, quelling the civil
wars in Sierra Leone and Liberia.
So how well is Nigeria fulfilling its leadership role?
At present, Nigeria's leaders lack a sense of
awareness and purpose and this has led to
confused policies and blunders such as the
kidnapping of the Chibok girls, the passing of an
anti-gay law and too many others to mention.
This poor leadership also overshadows the

Don't ever make noise about some certain four people who did not have any relevance to our army. Four people who visited SA at their own private affairs.

I can see that you have lost the meaning of mercenaries and do not know what does it mean. All PMCs contracted by certain military to help them or train them fight the enermy in the war is called a mercenary. Those four men were never contracted by our government and there is no war in SA. Sorry!!! you have blundered.

You are sick young boy, Both India and Russia are not the largest economies in Asia and Europe respectively. The union has to do more with expanding trade and industry among these countries. Remember, SA is more even industrialised than both India and Brazil, mumu.

What will be the use of keeping one country merely based on the fact that it is the biggest economy but it is not yet fully industrialised? It will be a waste of efforts keeping that country. There is also high expectation that Argentina might follow the suit after having been assessed as the qualifying prospective partner. Argentina does not even have the largest economy, mumu.

The BRICS nation have now transformed from what that guy has been saying into what we will refer to as a union. All countries contribute billions of dollars every year which SA has been doing throughout its membership.

Meanwhile, the MINT still remains a concept and not a reality.

No need, I already posted the citation for you since you are a fraud and liar, source directly from South African navy official website :

Economic speed of Warrior boat is NOT defined anywhere !

Range, miles: 1,500 at 30 knot; 3,600+ at economical speed

http://navy.mil.za/equipment/patrol.htm

What is the economic speed in knots ?

The only way to compare range of two ships is to speed them to same level of knots !

What is the knots that give Warrior class a range of 3,600 miles? How many knots is that ? 10 knots or what ?

If P18N ranges 3,000 miles at 14 knots, it will travel further at lower speed, say 10 knots.

Your argument of out-ranging the P18N is therefore ruined !

hey, kill yourself with this from the guardian and economist in the UK:Even within Africa, South Africa's growth – wracked by high unemployment and industrial unrest – is sluggish compared to many of its neighbours, and its crown as the continent's biggest economy is under threat from Nigeria.

A year ago Jim O'Neill, the global chairman of Goldman Sachs Asset Management who coined the term "Bric", told South Africa's Mail & Guardian newspaper: "It's just wrong. South Africa doesn't belong in Brics. South Africa has too small an economy. There are not many similarities with the other four countries in terms of the numbers. In fact, South Africa's inclusion has somewhat weakened the group's power. grin grin grin . One southie Zulu was even comparing India to south Africa.
