That is a known issue which was comprehensively tackled in the first section. All my certification was done at the Lagos high court too. and its accepted by all the schools it was sent to because they fulfil all the requirements by any German standard similar to what the German embassy will issue because the stamp is not ordinary. When you look well you will see that it bears the logo of the Lagos state coat am arm but that cannot be said of most other States or ordinary ink stamps.
This is in order not to mislead others that will follow you blindly and in the process waste money posting, time or even forfeit admissions. They rejected that of someone I know because it had a simple text stamp only even though it was issued by a high court in a state I can't remember.
As long as the certification bears
1. A logo/emblem/coat of arm
2. the words "certified true copy" or something similar
3. signature and date of the person who certified it
4. date and name of the authority

You are home and dry.

adding to what Eke has said, I would advise to check your school requirements. Some would require that you do it at some specific places: German embassy, Notary public, Instituting Authority.
Certifying at a High court in this instance would not meet the requirements.

Would this pose as a problem for certification and subsequent applications? The first name and last name is accurate... just that middle name

why not tell your school to correct it since it's their mistake and not yours. They should do that free of charge to be fair on you

then you can try your luck. To the best of my knowledge I don't think it should be a problem during certification Cos no identification is required. All need do is check if it's an original document. Though I can't say same for your applications

Friedrich Schiller University of Jena is by all standard good school with history. Just that Jena is a University town and hustle might be difficult there but if you are more interested in academics..... its a good school by all standard ( i stand to be corrected)

I don't know how your school works or how you got your transcript but you can report to them that your school discovered that the name on your transcript and that on your certificate or statement of result differs. since they have prepared one, getting another one will be much more easier.

Pls I need some guidance. I received a notification of successful selection for Msc Economics at uni Konstanz and I was asked to accept the offer before a letter of admission will be sent to me. Now I need guidance on the following:
1. How is life generally in the city of Konstanz, in terms of getting student job, language issues, cost of living, etc. I have done some research and I found that the city is mainly a tourist location, its in southern germany and its close to lake Constance and Switzerland.
2. I was asked to pay 550 euros as accommodation cost before 26th June in order to get accommodation(it is guaranteed for all intl students). How is student hostel apartment on campus or is it better to search for accommodation outside campus.

I will appreciate information from anyone including those who are currently in konstanz or once lived in konstanz.
I trust una, I beg for help. Thanx.

Please do another transcript, the transcript with Ola instead of Olu is to any school outside Nigeria representing another person, don't forget that admission offices are looking for a small error to deny anyone admission due to thousands of application worldwide.

Got a friend in Madgeburg... Tho no complains so far, he did say Lepzig should be avoided

Got a friend in leipzig. Been there almost 2yrs . I have anoda in freiberg which is almost d most eastern town in germany. No complaints at all. The one in leipzig complains about job availability occasionally. But dats about d only complain he has. At d end of d day ots different strokes for different folks. Nobody here should have d impression that the east isn't hospitable. Yes we all agree dat d west and south has more students and may be more friendly but dat alone isnt a suitable job. My friend in leipzig had d opportunity to do his master thesis at the max Planck institute in leipzig. Imagine ig he turned down such an opportunity because of east no dey ffriendly. Nowhere friendly. If u want friendship stay in nigeria. My advice to anybody here is simple. If u pick a solid course in a solid school and it hapoens to be in d east better u close eye to all dis friendship thing and go. Nobe friendship u dey go find for germany.

But Frieburg is in former West Germany and not East Germany. It's Flengsburg that is in East Germany. I hope you are not mistaking Frieburg to be Flengsburg? Flengsburg is the most Eastern city.

He knows what he is saying, there is freiberg (meaning "free mountain)in Saxony (East Germany)

Well I think you should first contact them. I send my certified documents by post on 9th April. One hour after posting the documents, I received an email that they have change their application process.
I reply that I just posted my documents and again receive another email with a link that I should apply online as well.
On 22 A April I received another email that My certified documents have arrived and that I will hear from them again.
After some calls and email I was referred to the international students office.
And today I got it after three times phone call with the international office.
