That was exactly what I did, I simply stayed out of it and went to watch and I can say d episode was epic....Jon Snow is d man....my role model!

Mod should be professional in their duties jarey....although locking the thread is manageable sha.

By 12pm, most people would have downloaded and watched especially since most sites update between 8am and 10am. I watched this episode by 7am and I was itching to discuss but found the thread locked and I understood why he did it.

Why, because he's wearing a hood? Because the camera didn't zoom his face?

His hood was totally covered, hiding his face.

He didn't even move when all the commotion was going on and was just sitting there doing nothing.

If you watch the episode again, you will see what I mean.

Frankly I found episode 7 more interesting. Though I understand the hype about the episode 8.

I think he is going to do something stupid.

No spoilers please

Don't worry, there's nothing to spoil anymore; as far as events at the Wall AND within Westeros is concerned, the show has overtaken the books. So, yeah... bring out your tambourine and sing Kumbaya at Gbola5.

Is this one of the renowned characters who died or just one of them white walkers . . . . . . . ?

Lord commanders could mean anything, not necessarily lord commanders of the nights watch alone.

Once inside, the White Walker approaches an icy altar ringed by large icy spikes and places the baby upon the altar. In the distance, a group of thirteen black-garbed White Walkers are revealed to be viewing the proceedings from afar. One of them (the "White Walker's master"wink breaks from the middle of their number and approaches the altar, stopping to regard the human child for a moment before gently gathering him in its arms.

It says here there were 14 WW (the one that brought the baby and 13 others). No mention of them being lord commanders of the nights watch. and also, unless in said interview, they said lord commanders of the nights watch , I will need a source for that.

No, altogether 13. The one holding the baby was in the middle with six on each side. Maybe you think there was one behind him.

Actually there is still something to spoil but I think the show is saving it for the season finale. I won't say it though. wink It is from season 6 that we will be able to safely say that the books and TV show have taken completely different parts.

The comment about book readers wishing the books were like the series is inaccurate. Book readers still have a ton of unresolved but entertaining issues the TV show has cut off and has no way of incorporating again.

Not to start any kind of conflict but I think that at the end of the day it is the book readers who will enjoy everything more. They will get to enjoy two different story paths, the books and the TV show, while TV watchers will only enjoy the TV show. If you can lay your hands on the books guys give it a read even if you start from the third installment.

What are you talking about? When the mountain got injured, qyburn promised her he could save him. Then she agreed to it despite maester pycell's warning. She tells him to do what he can to save his life. He started using dwarfs to further the experiment. But it's the mountains life she wants to save.

Even Grand Maester Pycelle regretfully tells Queen Cersei that Ser Gregor is beyond any hope of healing. Qyburn, however, an expelled former maester with extensive medical knowledge gained from "repugnant" and "unnatural" experimentation on living people, suggests that he may be able to save him. Cersei dismisses Pycelle and gives Qyburn permission to do anything he can to save Ser Gregor (likely out of gratitude for sealing Tyrion's fate and her revenge on him for the death of Joffrey), though he says that his unorthodox methods may "change" him. She nervously asks if he means the process will weaken Gregor, but Qyburn knowingly assures her it will not.

Dude, I just confirmed you don't watch the show because everything you wrote is book talk and not on the show . That's a quote from game of thrones wikia.

Ofcourse i do. But i was Planetosi first. No he didnt start using dwarves to further the experiment. Cersei only put a bounty on Tyrion's head, and different persons start killing dwarves, when they angered Cersei for bringing the wrong dwarf heads, she sends them to Qyburn, this was in the show. But its the mountain's life she wants to save, and i explained why she wants to save him, because they might need people like him. But she also knows Qyburn practices necromancy that's why she has faith in his experiment, that's why the Citadel collected his chain. But Gregor's organs are unfunctional, that's why Qyburn uses other persons' unnaturally. I said you may be right about Cersei knowing it is Gregor.

Tywin's children are alike pieces of a puzzle that make up tywin..
--Jamie has tywin's physic but not his political wisdom or cunningness
--Cersei has tywin's cunningness but not his physic or political wisdom (tywin told her she isn't as smart as she thinks she is)
--tyrion has tywin's political wisdom but not his physique or his cunningness

I was expecting the giant to become a Wight. It would have been awesome... a giant wight.
Giant Wight ke? It would have been deadly to the seven kingdoms.

Damn this episode is the shiit!

The scenes, the convos - I need every damn convo of every scene, epic they all are.

Just finished watching the ep for a second time, can't be tired, loool

'Bastards can rise high in the world' ramsey's response to sansa about being a bastard in ep7.

And this ep was abot ' bastards rising' - jon snow, ramsey, and even tyrion as we are yet to ascertain if truly he's a lannister? Great bastard's scenes, lol tommen, we await ur rising as well, lool

That lady tho, the one dealing with cercei (dunno what they call her)...No mercy she's showing cercei (from the way she dragged her to her cell, hit her at every chance she gets n then deprive her of thirst) one would wonder if she's got a personal vendetta with cercei. Now how does it feel having a taste of your own medicine cercei? Lool

And as for ramsey, bragging on about how he's gonna fight stannis armies with just 20 men, I laugh, ok na, we watch!

And the way the white walkers fell from the top of the mountain in front of jon snow, like jon I also tot they were dead until they all raised their heads up ready for the kill, lool

And to the final scene, I thot the giant was gonna drag the boat as he walked passed by 'like dammit, u rowing too slowly' lol and yeah I also tot the white walker king was gonna raise the tides on jon snow wen he raised both hands only for me to be told otherwise.

This ep has got the best of every scene and convo ever, can't wait for the 2 last eps.

You call that sprinting? Pretty face flew to that bloody boat! grin

One of my favourite scene was when those dead wildlings fell from the mountain. I was thinking "did the white walkers just kill their minions" Then bang! the resurrection began cheesy

....and so did the running grin

Then I thought Wun Wun would hurl Jon's boat outta the water and drag them to the ship grin Shiit why weren't they paddling? Everything was so quiet and tense. Everyone waiting for what would happen next.
I am watching this episode again cheesy

Over a glass (or several) of wine, Tyrion
and Daenerys get down to brass tacks.
She wants the Iron Throne, and knows
little of its games or its players. He
suggests that the surest path to succeed
might be not playing that particular
game at all; perhaps she can do the most
good staying in Meereen and ruling well.
He wisely points out that she has little
support from the wealthy and powerful
of Westeros, the same problem that has
plagued her in Meereen. She disdainfully
observes that the game of thrones is
really just a wheel—a flat circle, even—
where winners and losers rise and fall
like spokes, crushing the rest of world
beneath their conflicts.

“I’m not going to stop the wheel. I’m
going to break the wheel,” she says,
sounding every bit the revolutionary.
And sure, yelling “dracarys!” at the
injustices of the world might feel
satisfying, but it’s not a great long-term
strategy for winning hearts and minds.
As Tyrion points out, overthrowing the
system might be a nice dream, but it’s
certainly not a new one; nor can force
alone achieve it. There’s something
lovely about seeing Dany’s ambition and
idealism tempered by the cool
practicality of Tyrion’s political savvy,
like a great machine finally assembled
and lurching into motion.

Like you really have it at the back of your mind that Jon will stand and fight them all?
Even Danny, her army of unsullied and her dragons will sprint just by sighting those WWZ type of flying sh*t. I was expecting Jon to do the most honourable thing ever in the beginning.....RUN. He who fights and run, live to fight another day.

You mean after 8 episodes and 2 more to go, this show with cut and joined half baked episodes should even be nominated?

Unlike other seasons where the story line was directed and focused , this season look confused to the producer, jumping from half written plot to another. I had to wait for 3 weeks before watching 3 episodes straight cos compared to previous seasons, this is the most disjointed of them all.

Episode 8 was a masterpiece though

I pray it ends well. 2 to go
