oloriesther(f): 9:11am On May 26 Goodmorning Goldie &Hotpepper, what documents are required for Canadian visiting visa application. I have a good travel history with my spouse. Also how many month can we apply for been the 1st time we are applying to canada.WIth the online application will they call us for medicals? How long does the visa processing takes?Your prompt response will be most appreciated. will keep you guys posted on outcome. Feel free to ask questions on visiting visa application for online submission. its pretty straight forward and like hotstepper mentioned there's no section for stating if one is pregnant or not. However there's an additional optional section for any explanation in support of your application where you can upload an explanation letter if you want to. It could be true as hospital and doctor determine how much one pays but the cost of leaving close there will be high as its in downtown. Also know that those people in that tread they have papers here just that their health card didn't come out on time and.mosy likely to work out things nd also get their money bk when their health card comes out adsli: |

Hello house, a big thanks to the people contributing to this great work. My question goes thus; would it be of advantage if one stated that he/she has a family member residing in Canada? |
Re: Giving Birth In Canada by Goldie10: 12:20pm On Jun 02, 2015 |
Hello momasenny, Yes it could be. Depending on your relationship with the person (close relative). You can state that if you have access to details of the family member as proof. e.g A letter from the person stating relationship with you and intention to invite to canada and possibly be responsible for your accommodation. (i.e if you'll be staying with the person). Then the person will also have to send the data page of their passport and residence permit/ applicable visa the person is using. But all depends on your relationship with the relative. Otherwise, i'll suggest you go the route of booking a hotel temporarily for your application. If i've missed anything else someone should add. Hope this helps momasenny: |

Hello All, Just to add I got additional info for Calgary. After series of calls to clinics to find out if their willing to take out of pocket patients. I found mission medical clinic (SW) and Mosaic clinic (NW). both accept patients but you may need to pay up to 300CAD per visit (tho negotiable). Also they accept some tests from Nigeria, but further tests and scans will need to be done. For Mosiac centre, the doctor's fees are about 2000CAD (negotiable also) while hospital bill I'm told will depend on after deliver. They generally refer you to Peter Lougheed Hospital which is just about round the corner from Mosiac centre. I'm told they have a team of about 7 doctors who will do your prenatals depending on who is on duty up on till delivery. Okay thats all I've got, will give further info as time goes by. 15 Likes 4 Shares |

Lovely thread. I'm surprised that it's nearly empty though. My wife and I are considering having our first baby in Canada and will be submitting our application next week. Unfortunately, we still don't have any information on affordable hospitals to birth in. Anyone good suggestion will be appreciated. Sincerely grateful |

Hello, everyone, i just joined this forum, i need an urgent advise from Hotstepper. i was refused visiting visa last month May, i did online application and i assumed the reason for refusal was because the online kind of has restriction on documents uploading. as a matter of fact i decided to go paper route by July again. i have gone through all the discussions here, i heard it's better to do online application if u're already preggy.in my own case, am already preggy, and i want to have my baby in Canada God's willing. my question is since i want to go paper route, is there any where to mention if u're pregnant or not? and how long does paper route application take. pls advise me on the best way to go about it to avoid another refusal. 1 Like |

I also think its quite expensive, however they are subject to negotiation especially when you're paying upfront. Hotstepper: |

[ I do not know much about visa applications because I haven't done well but I that know you should be truthful, put all the documents they need, have enough money and trust your God. Whatever you say if u r called for an interview ( in most cases they don't call for interview and just make their decision based on what you provided) will be available for customs and immigration officers in Canada and if not what's there, they have the right to send you back. So being truthful is important. Processing should take up to a month. Do u have another here ? quote author=chizzybaby247 post=34855813]Hello, everyone, i just joined this forum, i need an urgent advise from Hotstepper. i was refused visiting visa last month May, i did online application and i assumed the reason for refusal was because the online kind of has restriction on documents uploading. as a matter of fact i decided to go paper route by July again. i have gone through all the discussions here, i heard it's better to do online application if u're already preggy.in my own case, am already preggy, and i want to have my baby in Canada God's willing. my question is since i want to go paper route, is there any where to mention if u're pregnant or not? and how long does paper route application take. pls advise me on the best way to go about it to avoid another refusal.[/quote] |

Ok thanks, pls Hotstepper, when you say be truthful, do u mean i should maybe write a letter to inform them of the my intention of giving birth in Canada since am already pregnant and include it with my other documents? or i should wait till they decide on giving me the visa or not? (Note: i have to go to VFS office office for Biometrics even if i do online application). Another thing i want to ask for is for anyone to help me with the list of documents to submit for the application, i do not want to make mistakes again this time. thanks |

I would definitely go with U.S.A for obvious reasons.....it should cost your more than 3,000 or so to have a baby in Actually, a lot of Americans rush to Canada to give birth, just for citizenship, and as many Americans rush to Canada to apply for residency. http://www.nytimes.com/2014/05/15/business/retirementspecial/the-trade-offs-of-relocating-north-to-canada.html?_r=0 https://ca.news.yahoo.com/blogs/canada-politics/americans-moving-canada-record-numbers-report-161857845.html |
