10. Franco Vazquez – 1018
Palermo finished the Serie A season in 11th place, but for Vasquez it was a fantastic season personally.
The 26-year-old Italian-Argentine star scored 10 goals in the league this season – three less than highly sought-after Paulo Dybala – but Vazquez is renowned for his creativity and that is where he demonstrated his ability.
Producing 68 chances in the league for Palermo, it was the most in his side and is a reason why he has been attracting so much interest.

9. Idrissa Gueye – 1034
The Lille midfield enforcer has been attracting plenty of interest over the last few weeks and it is little surprise that Southampton could be one of the clubs keeping tabs, as per the Mirror.
Gueye’s Performance Score was the highest for Lille this season and only one midfielder from Ligue 1 bettered it – which is impressive considering the pool of stars who play in the middle of the park for the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Lyon and Marseille.

8. Kevin De Bruyne – 1036
De Bruyne stole the show for Wolfsburg this season and Jose Mourinho may just be scratching his head as to why he let the little winger leave Stamford Bridge.
The 23-year-old was Wolfsburg’s most creative player by a distance – producing 111 chances – Ricardo Rodriguez was the closest to him with 54.
The Belgian international, who helped his side lift the DFB-Pokal Cup on Saturday, registered 20 assists in the Bundesliga this season, which was more than any player in Europe’s top five leagues.

7. Antonio Candreva – 1075
Candreva went one further than De Bruyne and bettered the former Chelsea man, after helping Lazio grab third place in Serie A this season.
The Italian outfit pipped Napoli on the final day of the season after winning 4-2 in Naples, with Candreva playing a big part in that success.
Creating 60 chances in the league this season, it was more than any other player at the club and his 10 goals in the top flight were just three short of top goalscorer Miroslav Klose.

6. Dimitri Payet – 1079
Marseille’s Dimitri Payet just about beats Candreva to sixth spot, after a fantastic all-round campaign for the France international at the Velodrome.
The midfielder played a stunning 117 key passes this season in Ligue 1, more than any other player in Europe’s top five leagues. From those 117 key passes, Payet registered 17 assists, the third-highest in Europe’s top five leagues and considerably higher than anyone in Ligue 1.

5. James Rodriguez – 1091
It may have been a poor season for Real Madrid as a team, with Carlo Ancelotti feeling the wrath of club president Florentino Perez, but it was a fantastic debut campaign for James Rodriguez.
A big-money move from Monaco placed plenty of pressure on the Colombian World Cup star’s shoulders, but he delivered the goods and Madrid’s season could have been even better had he avoided injury halfway through the campaign.
Rodriguez created 77 chances for Los Blancos in La Liga this season, more than anyone at the club, including Cristiano Ronaldo, and his 13 goals were bettered by just the Ballon d’Or winner and Karim Benzema at the Bernabeu.

4. Yaya Toure – 1139
The Ivorian international may have had a quieter season than usual by his standards, but despite that, Toure remarkably finished the campaign with the fourth-highest Performance Score for midfielders in Europe’s top five leagues.
Toure made 29 appearances for Manchester City in the league, scoring 10 goals, and inspiring Manuel Pellegrini’s men on their end of season strong form.
The colossal midfielder missed a month when he travelled for the AFCON, which is further testament to just how well he performed, despite significant criticism.
Toure had just one assist this season compared to nine last year.

3. Arjen Robben – 1429
A lot of blame at Bayern Munich’s poor form at the end of this season was aimed at Franck Ribery’s absence from the side, but more so due to Robben’s long lay-off.
The Dutch star missed the defeat to the hands of Barcelona in the Champions League, but he has done the damage domestically prior to his injury.
Making just 21 league appearances, Robben managed a brilliant 17 goals. The ex-Chelsea and Real Madrid star was not there, and the 50 chances he created in the side was the highest this season, despite missing 13 matches. Brilliant.

2. Santi Cazorla – 1461
Arsenal’s midfield maestro Santi Cazorla had a fantastic season, particularly in the second half, as he inspired Arsenal to third place and an FA Cup win.
Cazorla, who was man of the match at Wembley, missed just one game in the league all season which came after an injury-laden 2013/14 campaign.
The Spanish international was the club’s third-highest goalscorer (7) and whilst six of them came from the penalty spot, Cazorla proved that he has more than just set-piece delivery in his locker.
Only Cesc Fabregas (18) registered more assists than Cazorla (11) in the Premier League this season and the 78 chances he produced in the top flight was bettered only by Alexis Sanchez (79) for Arsenal.

Managing 14 league goals this season, the 24-year-old produced 91 key passes in the top flight – the highest at Chelsea, the most in the Premier League and only bettered by Payet in Europe’s top five leagues.
Hazard was not done there and no player completed more take ons (184) than the Belgian in Europe’s top five leagues. Top spot to a fantastic footballer.

This is not Lahm calling Hazard the best player in the world or even one of the best. This is talking about possessing a desirable attribute for a certain position.

Whether my opinion is relevant or not it will not put more goals in the back of the net for Hazard in elite Europe.
