Please can people stop using this thread to indirectly promote/market a particular Dr?

Hi babe, sorry for the stress, is your card a MC or a Visa?
Cos when I collected my card two days ago and as is the practice walked to the ops mgr to get my PIN..

While making enquiries about medical travel allowance, he looked at my card ,asked "are you travelling" & I replied in the affirmative. he immediately picked up the phone and was berating the customer service lady for requesting for a MC for me when she knows its visa that woks better but she assured him it has been cofigured to work.

I went back to the lady to express my fears but she assured me too that it works on ALL forms of POS terminals and I left it at that, but seems I will have to pay them a visit again cos I had high hopes, and was really working on the money order angle as well...

& how much is the rate you got ??
Thx.

tanks dear.

its an MC.

I used it on the atm and pos machines successfully.

I guess it is just for sm particular machines dat it will hv an issue which might be very rare.

as for the charge on atm dnt even knw sef cus I was like let me test d card by withdrawing just 100$ got a debit alert of 21250 and 798.
since both the american and naija banks will charge u.

so it dosnt mk sense to use the atm only pos until I do d money order.

212.50 is a lot!!! But that's surprising cos their rates is the lowest for PTA, one would think they'd keep it @ between 206-208 like I hear access does. They are in Gtb territory then.
Its same rate for POS too I believe?.

This money order must work oo, how many times can one continue to do 300$ before the bank's surveillance camera mark person!! cheesy

I used my GT card on CHASE bank's ATM. On many occassions last time &only got the usual 420 charge by GT,didn't get an additional charge for the US bank.

Maybe its the bank.

Hello house,
please does anyone know of an affordable hospital and a doctor in Portland, Oregon? I've been here for the past 8 days and the cheapest package that I've gotten so far is $9,000 with 20% discount, If I pay early. Kindly help a sister please.
Just saw this post.i had my baby in port land 2years ago and while d doctors fee was fair(abt 2000) the hospital bill was crazy you. After negotiations I paid abt 8000 for hospital bills. So I guess port land is extra expensive. U may want to check Peace health hospital at vancouver.just like 15 mind away.i did some lab tests there and they were ok.also there was this naturopathy clinic which actually gave me a quote for 4500 for everything but the as the won't be able to manage emergencies I didn't want to take the chance

@ justwise

If you followed the argument from the beginning you would have understood what led to my last post. Events culminated in me detailing out my experience. Moreover I have seen posts detailing out peoples experience i wonder why mine was flagged as a promotional post and taken down.

Are you saying that people without first hand experience can come here based on hear say /research and discredit doctors while those that have first hand experiences cannot narrate their experiences with the same doctor (positive or negative)?

I suggest you look into your policy/rules and promote a level playing ground.

You were directly marketing for that doctor in those two specific posts I removed, I left the rest of your posts because they are more of replies to an allegation. I have been following the argument.

I narrated my experience and that is marketing to you? So when others narrate their experiences its not marketing?

I am sure that you are tech savvy please check the location / IP address of the poster that responded to my post. Its rather unfortunate that you think that I responded to my post. I do not know the person that responded from Adam.

FYI I am not even in Nigeria, Since you have resulted in removing my experience, please remove all my posts cos its obvious you are already biased.

Ok i will do the needful. I asked questions that you are yet to answer let me restate them here. Please answer the questions without bias....

1. I narrated my experience and that is marketing to you? So when others narrate their experiences its not marketing? Please explain the difference.

2. Are you saying that people without first hand experience can come here based on hear say /research and discredit doctors (there were detailed posts discrediting the said doctor) while those that have first hand experiences cannot narrate their experiences with the same doctor (positive or negative)? Why did you not remove those posts?

3. There are similar experience posts why did you not delete them?

You only deleted my experience post i do not know the 2nd post you are talking about. I guess the second one you are talking about is the reply to my experience get your facts right.

Please, this Dr. Akere matter don do! Everyone must not use my doctor likewise I must not use everyone's doctor. Both of you are right. You got a fantastic experience from him, Modath's friend got a horrible experience from him. Doctors are not perfect , they are fallible because they are human.

Just like Modath, my friend had a horrible experience at Dr. FAGBOGUN but a lot of mums and dads here had wonderful experiences with him too. I was duly informed and I did a 360 U turn to El paso which was never in my plan. Whenever, she's ready to come here and share her experience , fine. But if any higher order risk mum pm me and asked why I changed from Oakend to Del Sol, I will gladly help her save herself. So please, let this matter rest.

Ok I hear you I will let it go but i think it is absolutely unfair to tag me a marketer and delete my post because i narrated my positive experience. If you saw the deleted post at the end i admonished people to do their research before settling for a doctor...

This forum is supposed to be devoid of bias and promote a leveled playing ground while accommodating different points of view

Good morning people, please for those who flew United Airlines back to Nigeria, is the baby entitled to any checked baggage? If yes how many bags? Thank you.
yes I flew United back home in January. It isas stated on their website for infant baggage allowance. I checked in a 23kg box for my baby and his car seat base. Then at the aircraft gate, I checked in his car seat and buggy. I also carried a diaper bag and breast pump bag for him as his own 'hand luggage'. Then carried my handbag as my hand luggage. Hope this helps

Please phoenix mums, for those who have used or who are using legacy suites, are there rooms with twin beds? How much and also please how much does a two bedroom suite inclusive of tax cost? How much do cabs cost from the airport to the hotel? Does anyone have the phone numbers of good cab guys I can use during my stay? I will be arriving in two weeks and I feel these are things I should know, please help. Thanks a lot.

Update on my dollar hunt: for those who stay in Benin city, I was able to buy from fcmb @201.2 Naira to a dollar although they only agreed to give me 7000dollars (used my details and that of my husband). Please if unable to get more with my mum's details can I use first bank Dormicilliary card(has anyone heard of this?)gtb master card or fidelity visa or master card for pos transactions? Shey I won't be charged extra?

Plenty questions please nor vex, I always like to be sure. Thank you so much everyone. Please let's try to maintain the love on this thread by avoiding prolonged quarrels because this thread keeps a lot of us informed and relaxes our hormones. God bless you all

legacy suites 2bdrm $329 + tax+ fees per week
http://www.legacysuitesphx.com/
Get a taxi from the airport should be less than $50 and don't use a particular cab driver for safety reasons - your hotel will have at least 2 or 3 cab company phone numbers they will give you- always call the company
You can use both domiciliary and naira cards - inform your bank/s about your trip - no charges for pos transactions, withdrawals carry transaction and bank fees/charges
