President Buhari's N2.1 Billion Asokoro Mansion, Abuja - Breaking Times by Marchman: 6:00pm On Jun 03, 2015
President Muhammadu Buhari owns the sprawling Asokoro lakeside mansion located at number 9, Udo Udoma Street, Asokoro, Abuja, BREAKING TIMES can authoritatively report.

Investigations by our reporter on Wednesday unveiled President Muhammadu Buhari’s hidden property situated at a choice location in Asokoro beside an exotic lake few yards away from the Aso Rock Presidential Villa fence.

Since his inauguration on Friday May 29, heavy security presence has been deployed around the area surrounding the property. BREAKING TIMES reporters at the risk of their lives managed to take photographs of the sprawling triple-duplex property on Wednesday.

Professional estate surveyors have valued the land on which the property sits at approximately N1.2 billion. Each of the three duplexes is valued at N300 million and this, when added to the cost of the land is approximately N2.1 billion. Also, rent from tenants on each of the three duplexes is estimated at N6 million per annum.

President Buhari’s Asokoro property has been home to a former High Commissioner of an African country to Nigeria. The family of the late Special Adviser on Strategy and Documentation to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Oronto Douglas, are tenants at the Buhari Asokoro property, a source who pleaded anonymity disclosed to BREAKING TIMES.

The discovery of the Buhari Asokoro mansion may have cast another huge credibility question on the modest and anti-corruption credentials that got him elected on March 28, 2015.

It will be recalled that BREAKING TIMES on Monday exposed details of how the new First Lady, Mrs. Aisha Buhari wore a Cartier Baignoire Folle 18-Carat White Gold Diamond Ladies Watch that cost £34,500 (N10, 453, 000) to the presidential inauguration on May 29, 2015.

Buhari played up his modest background while on the campaign trail, claiming he was a pastoral farmer with 150 cows who could barely afford to pay for his presidential nomination form. More than 50 percent of Nigerians live below the international poverty line of $1.25 per day, according to the United Nations.

In January 2015, BREAKING TIMES uncovered the expensive lifestyle of Zahra, the fifth daughter of President Muhammadu Buhari, an undergraduate of the University of Surrey, United Kingdom.

The exposure of Buhari’s hidden assets is coming at a time Nigerians have intensified calls for the new President and Vice-President to publicly declare their assets as they promised to do during the presidential campaign.

Buhari was appointed Chairman of Nigeria’s Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF) during the regime of Nigeria’s late dictator, General Sani Abacha – a period in Nigeria’s oil revenue expenditure that has never come under any serious probe or enquiry. The sum of N25 billion allegedly disappeared from the public treasury at the time.

I have only one million naira, 3 bedroom bungalow in my home town and 150 cows.

Any other property bearing my name should from henceforth be seen as a 'gift' from people.

I'm the incorruptible president.

And some baboons will believe him...grin grin

Great. Very good indeed!

The unfortunate thing is that campaigns are over and Buhari will be president for four years at least.

May be we will consider this info then.

cheesy cheesy grin grin grin grin

That PDP failed to unearth this house in the twelve years that Buhari contested against them is a confirmation that the party is clueless and dumb beyond our thinking.

The report claims Douglas Oronto, a staunch PDP/GEJ supporter, was a tenant in that house and PDP could not know! Please stop insulting our sensibilities. Only the naïve and the gullible ones can be deceived by this bull crap.

And if the news is true, I will conclude that PMB is too clever than we thought but I will be really disappointed in him nonetheless.

No documentary evidence of ownership?

Buhari can actually afford this house after he has successfully sued this media outfit for libel.

No President Jonathan to beg for a soft landing as was the case with the inglorious Reuben Abati.

Yet he claimed to have borrowed to buy nomination form. I thought he claimed to have only have #1M naira and 150cows

No wonder he declared his assets secretly after promising to do otherwise.

Omg by the time this man finish with Nigerian treasury, only change will remain

I'm glad I was never deceived. At least I can tell the future generation, I didn't contribute to this mess. I'm not surprised
That man should be probed

I urge all well meaning progressives not to comment on any of these threads henceforth. Those who imagine the best way forward is to churn out one lie after another against the president should be left to have their good time on their threads. Just ignore when you see them.

Thanks.

How are this people sure that the said mansion is owned by PMB? Surely they can't be insinuating that he stole money just to build this mansion.

Breaking times should show us the certificate of occupation and the receipt issue when the land was purchased before we believe that it belongs to PMB, if they can't, they should look for something meaningful to do.

That would be the proper cause of action in a sane society.
But in Nigeria, misfits and barefaced lies must be exposed for what and who they are because unfortunately there are many children and gullible out there who can bliv anything,no matter how stupid.
So as long as God gives us d strength,we must continue exposing their stupidity while praying, hoping and working for the success of the chosen messiah,PMB.
