tbaba1234: Left to me, that was the problem of the team. I am yet to know the role of the two ifeanyis - is it anchor Or deep lying playmaker or box to box midfielder? They didn't act out anything at all in that game |

kellycute:manu is not a clown as u called him, why would u call him a clown in the first place? because like every sound coach he read the riot act and was bold not minding whose horse is gored by embarking on changes and benching the so called big boys in the team? how is that bad? he knows what he wants and he is going for it, every player in this team are world beaters, the ones in the bench are as good as the starters thats how blessed we re. my brother u fit vex leave the tread o, we na confirm fans, we will follow the team to the end of the world. lets i forget, watch out, the scores will not be less than 4 goals in our favour 1 Like |

EagleScribes: Ifeanyi ifeanyi was the major problem. He was not playing like a DM. Ifeanyi mathew was also confused as to his CM role. Good thing, Idowu is playing because he will stay back and cover. |

I de laugh as I DE READ tru fans comments. D fear that grip our boys has left d camp n now it has came down n descended on fans here. Abeg no cause for alarm!. Even d players that didn't make this tourney on a good day will not only defeat but wallop d Koreans any day. Another thing is dat everyone comes here to criticize d coach on his team selection, Pls, if u can't support him leave him alone. He is a Professional n he is more closer to this guys than we are. I know no sane person will want to fail even fiji's coach will never wanna loose to germany. So LETS SUPPORT THIS MAN-E HAS ALWAYS DONE IT-HE WILL DO IT AGAIN GOD'S WILLING. Watchout! I'd be really glad to see Godwin Saviour in the starting line up. That dude plays with a stick-to-itiveness that I admire. I first noticed this when he played for the U-23 during the Super 6. Recall feelers from camp in Germany, pre-tourney, held that he was a [THE] standout man. Manu should chuck him in to start. He has the ability to run at defenders with his head down like someone with a point to prove. My opinion. I reviewed Enaholo's clangers. The third goal, to me, wasn't a howler as such. The ball got the slightest of deflections as it zipped by which altered its trajectory deceptively into the net . The fourth goal: Enaholo had sighted a free Nigerian player via peripheral vision and he was aiming to quickly pick up the ball from the tame shot of the Brazilian in order to launch the ball to his free team mate, counter attack mode. You know the type of move that resulted in Nigeria's second goal? That was his plan. Alas, this made him pay less concentration to catching the ball, resulting in the blooper. That said, I still think he's our safest pair of hands. 1 Like |

edi287: Remember, Alampasu committed some elementary errors at the start of the U-17 championship but ended with the golden gloves. Anyhow, I'm sure Mr. Fancy Ewulu, the team's keepers' trainer, knows how good all the keepers are. We'll see. |

lordtosan:I will probably open one eye not two o jus only one eye to see who score and close again. Lol. I wanna see another yahaya rabona skill and nacho curlin ball. I know there are other players that can play well for the team but let be honest yahaya and nacho are just too good to be on the bench. It is like saying cr7 should be on the bench when he is fit and ready to roll. No matter how hazard mess up on the pitch of play, mouriho will never bench hazard never. Nacho should be untouchable in that flying eagles team. Come on guys he is the reigning world young player of the year for crying out loud. He should be respected by everyone including manu. At least tell him to up his game not bench |
Re: Flying Eagles of Nigeria Thread: U-20 World Cup (New Zealand 2015) by Birikiti: 7:53pm On Jun 03, 2015 |
The lineup being touted for tomorrow's match should have started against Brazil! A conservative lineup with lots of grafters that would have set the work ethics tone for others coming from the bench. All is not lost though. I believe in this team's ability to turn things around. At least, the lessons learnt will stop the bragging from our coach and players and they will dig in and work their socks off. Another thing is, I have always said Manu (and most Nigerian coaches for that matter) rarely change tactics in between matches. They start and finish with exactly the same tactics. What European/South American coaches, simply, do against African opposition is to watch the 1st half display, tweak things around at half time and voila the game is won! This is why I respect Siasia/Kalika combo till today; their match reading skills was solid. Hopefully, Manu and backroom staff have learnt their lessons and can improve things. I believe in this team! #soarFlyingEagles 1 Like |

edi287: The Alampasu u guys are always shouting abt is even 3rd choice. If any1 is to replace Enaholo, which i dnt foresee, it should be Olorunleke the 2nd choice goalie. Forget Alampasu's heroics at U17. This is U20! |

Icon4s: Alampasu is second choice. Leke barely scraped through selection. Alampasu was injured at the AYC that was why he was not brought on. Enaholo is still the best keeper. |
