Galaxy note 3 is not all these road side phones u can root by frama,kingo,vroot etc.

I suggest you go to Android central forum or xda.
There are scripts written by developers which u run on your device and boom,you are rooted.

But the basic is...

Download the adt bundle to your pc.
Extract the tools which comprises the sdk and platform tools.Also download the usb drivers of your phn to the pc...connect your phone to pc and also enable the debugging mode.Open the cmd and type adb device.Once your phone is recognized,then you are almost there.You will have to download and run a recovery like clockwork mode or twrp into your phn.Get the appropriate file for note 3 from chain fire site.Use odin or sideload the script file into your phn....All these are done using the various linux commands like adb reboot boot loader etc...Once you are done install super su, and root checker...You will start enjoying root apps like busy box,rom installer,rom.manager,exposed framewk......This is just a summary

Yea it rooted my Note 4, though i have not upgraded from Kitkat to lollipop.
Remember when rooting with Kingroot u need good internet connection preferably wifi.

Yeah it seems lollipop has a certain programme blocking one root apps like kingroot, but i would see if framaroot wud work tonight

If your phone isnt on lollipop, use kingroot, last thing if it doesnt root, it wud tell u unsuccesful it cant do ur fone any harm, did same on my g3 and i uninstalled it wen it didnt root.

Download the english version.
