jln115:actions like xenophobia brings hateful relationship and reports reaching us make us feel that the South African people support it. One of the reasons Why Nigerians are always angry with SA is we feel that SA is ungrateful after our workers donated three month of their salary to fight aparthed. Three months salary is substantial. BTW WTF is this? www.theguardian.com/world/2013/jul/30/south-africa-kleinfontein-apartheid-afrikaner unlike SA Nigeria with over 3 00+ ethic group is fully integrated and we live side by side. I could be wrong about SA though. 2 Likes 1 Share |

mzilakazi:Behold your lack of dignity:Kleinfontein: A Place Where Only Whites Can Live, Oh Yeah, It is In Africa! May 24, 2013 | Filed under: Africa , Featured | Posted by: Editorial_Staff The entrance to Kleinfontein, being guarded by White militiamen AFRICANGLOBE– About 30km south-east of Tshwane, South Africa’s capital on the N4 highway, there is a place you enter through a boom gate – similar to many other places in the city. A security guard in full military attire greets you at the gate with a book for you to sign, and once you’ve stated your case you’re allowed in. The system is similar to those at every other security estate in the city – except on the other side of this particular gate, you will see White faces only. Welcome to Kleinfontein. The White people who live here call it a “cultural community”, a safe haven for the white Christian Afrikaner. The 800-hectare co-operative, started by Jan Groenewald, turns 21 years old this year and is one year younger than Orania – it’s sister town. “It was started in 1992 when the founding members got that tingling feeling that the ANC would take over,” says Dr Pieter du Preez, who has lived here for five years and is a member of the board. There are 450 shareholders in Kleinfontein with 300 homes and 1,000 residents – all White, Christian and Afrikaners. “It is an Afrikaner homestead,” says Du Preez. Once you have made it through the boom gate, you are greeted as Oom (uncle) or Tannie (auntie) by another security guard – also in military dress. He asks you who you are visiting and escorts you. On the way to the office building, you are confronted with a large bust of Hendrik Verwoerd , the architect of apartheid. Every White face along the way is smiling and they greet you in the “purest” Afrikaans. Still, the place is eerily quiet. “We have almost zero crime,” says Marisa Haasbroek, Kleinfontein’s volunteer communications officer. The first stop after checking in at the office is the coffee shop. You are treated to coffee and baked milktart by yet another smiling Afrikaner face. The smile broadens when they realise you are Afrikaans too. The average age of a Kleinfontein resident is 60. “Older people move here to retire because it is safe, quiet and we have a great care centre,” Haasbroek says over coffee. When asked why there are few young people, she says it is too far outside Tshwane and the young do not want to drive so far to work. “Older people do not travel as much,” she says. Next up is a guided tour. Kleinfontein a White Colony 1 Like |

mzilakazi:more excerpt for you:Although the Gauteng legislature has recognised Kleinfontein, a white Afrikaner-only settlement outside Pretoria, as a cultural community, the City of Tshwane won’t declare it a separate development. The legislature’s decision comes after an investigation by its portfolio committee on community safety into an incident in which police officers were barred from entering the enclave, 30km south-east of the city in November last year, presumably because they did not fit the community’s entry requirements. The findings of the investigation were reported in the legislature on Thursday, a meeting attended by one of Kleinfontein’s founders and the chairman of the Kleinfontein board, Jan Groenewald. He said the community co-operated fully with the legislature and said rumours that police were denied access to Kleinfontein were unsubstantiated. The community is also in the process of applying to have Kleinfontein declared an independent legal entity within the City of Tshwane. But while some have welcomed the acknowledgement of the settlement as a “cultural community” as a first step, the Tshwane mayor stressed that the city would not approve a whites-only township development within the capital city. “It would be in contravention of the Bill of Rights for the City of Tshwane to approve a township development where residence was exclusive for a particular race group,” said the mayoral spokesman Blessing Manale. In emphasising the supremacy of the constitution and the Bill of Rights, Executive Mayor Kgosientso Ramkgopa – who visited the settlement earlier in the year “to have a conversation with the community” – said every citizen had the right to “enter, remain and reside” anywhere in South Africa. “We believe that there remains an open platform, medium and institutions for every South African to practise their legitimate cultural and religious rights, and to preserve and celebrate their heritage without demanding separate development and self-exclusion,” Manale said. He described Kleinfontein as an informal settlement because it had not been formalised nor proclaimed as a formal township. There were about 40 such areas in the city. Groenewald attended the legislature meeting on Thursday. He said “rumours” that police were not allowed entry into Kleinfontein were unsubstantiated. “… the investigation led to an excellent relationship between the Kleinfontein community and the legislature,” said Groenewald. The 800ha co-operative turns 21 this year making it a year younger than its sister town, Orania. There are 450 shareholders in Kleinfontein with 300 homes and 1 000 residents – all of whom are white, Christian Afrikaners. Those who live in Kleinfontein quote Article 185 of the constitution which defends the right to live with people of the same cultural group, language and religion. The Freedom Front Plus welcomed the recognition of the Kleinfontein settlement as a cultural community, said Jaco Mulder, FF Plus member of the legislature in Gauteng. Mulder, who was part of the investigation committee, said numerous misconceptions about Kleinfontein had now been cleared up. |

Henry120: CAR showed the quality of SA soldiers. For more than 10 hours without heavy fire support SA forces fought well. Soldier 2000 is standard. If there was a requirement for a certain task the same pattern colour can be changed. SA mercinaries were called in as the Nigerian military is weak to fight to deal with semi-conventional ill equipped forces. 2 Likes |

MikeCZAR: CAR showed the world how inept ,incompetent and poorly resourced SANDF Special forces, not even your regular troops are. - your illiterate army has only one camo, poor old inept SANDF. Exactly my point dummy, if only your illiterate generals knew that before choosing a single camo. - apparently not as weak as your special forces in the CAR. Again you make bold comments on PMC's, yet no evidence to back them up.
