Manu Garba should drop Awoniyi, we can't afford to keep wasting scoring chances. If a striker can afford to miss one on one with a goalkeeper, he should not spearhead the attack..

It's high time, Simon moses is given a chance to prove his mettle. .

We need the likes of Yahaya, Success and Iheanacho to start the game against Hungary..

We all can see what Idowu can do in the middle of the park. .

I can't see an improvement in Enaholo confidence. Are the psychologist in camp not doing their job well? ?

Manu Garba, It's high time you wear your thinking cap.. . We need a balanced deadly attack to take on the world..

Hungary is a compact team, we need the best leg to execute the match. The problems we had in the match against Brazil was in the midfield.

No room for laxity..

I'm used to typical Nigerian fans saying rubbish, but today proves that Nigerian journalists are rub.bish. Imagine someone like guysly2much saying Sokari is overrated at Halftime because of the draw. And it was supported by his fellow mediocre journalists.

Here were the same guys who attested to the fact that every member of the team had justified their inclusion and worth all the celebrations.

Makes me really sad.

Weldone boys. I never lost hope even after the first half. Never will.

Awoniyi is just a version of arsenals Giroud, dey dnt score much and loves 2 assist..i love his selflessness though, but as a top 9 u need 2 score as much as possible and stop missing begging chances! Gosh!

I agree with you. We should keep sentiments aside. As the tournament progresses, we meet tougher opponents. Such a dreadful first half could see us lose our place in the competition. I have no doubt Nacho or Success would have capitalized on those chances Awoniyi missed.

Also, a three man attack will be more balanced with Simon and Nacho who can skip past players with skill and speed. This will enable the defensive midfielders focus more on helping the defence.

As always, thermometer fans always change with the weather... Hahahahahahaha... You asked for me Sir? I'M RIGHT HERE!!! *big smiles*
And oh! The korean goal/bag was so small it could only contain 4... So we had to go back with the other 6 *winks*

Sorry. There is a mix up. Godwin Saviour was tipped for greatness by one of the Nigerian coaches under the Flying Eagles. The coach tipped him to do better than Nacho.

Then one of the German coaches during the friendly games tipped Sokari for success and took a selfie with Sokari. If he is talking of the Nigerian coach, then you are correct.

On the right side of the attack. Just like Messi did under Rijkaard. But, he will cut in and shoot with his left foot.

A morale-boosting win indeed for the FE. Musa Muhammed overlapped well, and the midfield were influential in this game, unlike the first match.

On Sunday, I would like to see 4-3-3 formation with Idowu, Ifeanyi Ifeanyi and Sokari in the midfield; and Iheanacho, Simon and Success in the attack. Awoniyi can be introduced in the 2nd half if any of the forwards is ineffective.

As it stands, the FE goal difference is a healthy +2.

The defensive organisation is better but the attack is not the best. Bulbwa worked hard defensively but offered little going forward.

I will replace him with iheanacho.

The team is not there yet but there is progress.

Hopefully, they peak in the knock out rounds

Did you notice that the pitch is quite small for inverted wingers? This kind of pitch is needed for proper wingers to provide width

I think the team will shape up as the games progresses. The Hungarian game will be a nail biter for sure.

My brother, it depends on the team you are facing and the game plan.

Today's team should be used against technical teams like Brazil. The team that faced Brazil would perform better against an average team like North Korea.

As it is. The only change I will want is Yahaya in for Bulbwa

I feel is the other way around. If the pitch is wide, you need Natural wingers because they reach the attack by crossing the ball. That covers the distance. In a narrow pitch, it suits an inverted winger because he is closer to the post and does not need to run a long distance to shoot.

Remember Henry when he joined Arsenal at Highbury. The pitch was small and Narrow. Henry had a swell time there.

I agree, but I think manu made changes to teach them a lesson.

But we need a mix of defensive strength and offensive decisiveness.

Here's what I think grin:

1) I didn't watch the match- as usual

2) for all the goals Awoniyi my loff failed to convert, he apparently made up by opening Korea's defence and getting vital assists

3) Success, Iheanacho, and Moses should start against Hungary for Awoniyi, Bulbwa and Yahaya

4) as much as you all want a win against Hungary, i'm somewhat leaning towards a draw and qualifying on best third place (anything to avoid Germany smiley)

5) let's see how well Hungary perform against Brazil before we make judgments

...PS: I told you guys anything more than 4 goals would be surprising cheesy

psamies24:
Manu has an unjustified love for Awoniyi. Now he pulls off Bulbwa for Isaac...why not Awoniyi?

1, coach tactics

2, Awoniyi can hold the ball

3, Awoniyi is a team player

4, Awoniyi is not selfish

5, Awoniyi has stamina

6, Awoniyi creates chances

7, Awoniyi is workerholic

8, Awoniyi can assist

9, Awoniyi can score

10, Awoniyi also defends

Does nacho has all this as a player to suit garba pattern of play?

i just they ask.
