superstar1: I liked your post 'coz you're right and I'm not denying that but they still had to fallback on referendum. That's the best way to go about it especially in these era. War is no more an option. |

change49ja: I quite agree with you, but the fundamental problem is -- our constitution does not recognise referendum and the constitution of the land is supreme, where all actions derives their legality or illegality. That is what we first need to insert into our constitution. That was what killed the National Conference. Once the constitution recognises referendum, the rest is as easy as ABC. All what one party needs is to evoke that part of the constitution. That was what made the Scottish referendum possible. If you do not want war and bloodshed, then there is a need to find a solution to the constitutional quagmire we are in. 4 Likes |

OoduaVanguard:The road to freedom is long and tough"freedom is won not given". Please note: We have being glamouring to actualise Biafra before the coming of GEJ and till this day. Having said that, The whole of South East is far advanced in terms of development, human resources, industrialization, infrastructure, commerce, social amenities etc. compare to the entire South West excluding Lagos. Imagine what we can achieve if we go on our separate ways. Hysteria!!!... 1 Like |

coolzeal: Bull shyt! Ogun state alone has more industries than the entire SE combined -- FACT. You are confused, the same you are complaining about marginalization and now you reel out false stats about your 'advancement' compared to other Nigerians? ? Your land is cursed with erosion, it is barren. No industries, no jobs, hence why your folks keep leaving that enclave in droves -- FACT! https://www.nairaland.com/2322312/ogun-state-nigerias-emerging-industrial Even your billionaires are not investing in the SE. Ifeanyi Uba has only ONE petrol station in the entire Anambra, his main investment concerns are located and situated in the SW. Ditto Emeka Offor, Ditto Arthur Eze, Ditto Coscharis. I visit the Anambra, Imo, Enugu threads and your people there are always attacking their rich people for fleeing the SE -- they simply refuse to invest in the SE!!!!! Even the Enugu Int'l Airport sef, they've refused to patronize it -- they would rather fly all the way to Lagos to board international flights that could easily be boarded at Enugu!! Before the Enugu Airport was upgraded you all boasted that it will take much traffic away from Lagos, yet they refuse to use it, is it the Yorubaman's fault? You people are just pathetic. superstar1: You're correct once again. It seems you're now following my line of arguments. Igbos had fought a war like South Sudan, Eritrea etc but the difference is that, while these countries achieved their objectives, Igbo didn't. Why? This is the main question. Will another Second Civil War enabled Igbos to achieve Biafra or is there an alternative? |

change49ja: IMO, they did not achieve it because they put the cart before the horse. They did not do their homework very well, before making the rash decision. For such move of that calibre, international diplomacy and understanding ought to be the first move. Get a backing of a major super power, that can lobby at world stage on your behalf, which was never done. 2 Likes |

Even there are Nigerians of Yoruba descent residing in Accra, Ghana. superstar1: I rest my case. You've said it all. Let me ask you some questions my friend, do you have an official record of what constitutes Biafra as of today? Do you know the boundaries of Biafra? Population of Biafra? Who are the leaders of Biafra? Imagine if Biafra gets its independence today, who are the likely people to lead Biafra? What's the economy of Biafra going to be like in the first 10 years of independence? You see, these are the reasons why most Biafrans are not keying in into Biafra. Most people don't know what the future holds for them. You have to be able to convince Igbo millionaires in Ibadan as to what he'll gain by supporting Biafra. 2 Likes |

change49ja:The only way Biafra will ever become a reality is for igbos to convince Rivers, Akwa ibom and Cross River State to join them. This states expecially Cross River boarders other country, while Biafra is in between the Southwest and South South (the states mentioned above). Biafra cannot become an independent country inside Nigeria 1 Like |

coolzeal: Boy! You are very dumb! For real. You don shift goal-post abi? After I don burst your foolish assertion and stats about your useless region compared to mine. Now you dig-up a 2009 article to prove a moot point about what? Your regions superiority over others? Smh. Boy, I tire for your matter. Me sef I get one or two more recent links wey I fit throw around to counter your bullsyht stats (http://www.360nobs.com/2015/03/10-poorest-states-in-nigeria-revealed-must-read/ and http://www.punchng.com/news/sokoto-katsina-top-list-of-poor-states/ -- no single Yoruba/SW state is on that list but SE represent wella ) but the FACTS on the ground don't lie! No one wants to reside in or invest in your region, not even your own people. You make excuses about how others are holding you down from greatness, and talk about how if you had this and that you will do this and that, making excuses for your own failures!
I repeat, Biafra can't happen soon enough, I don't care about your fvcked up lot. We'll see whether you'll blame the Calabar people or yourselves for holding you down from development then -- abi? change49ja: I cannot answer your questions Bro. The question on the boundary of Biafra can only be determined by the confederation of Igbos and Igboid ethnic groups. To be candid, the group needs a selfless leader like Zik, that can command the respect of the opposition with his intelligence, can sell snow to eskimos with his oratory power and has foresight enough to predict events of a decade to come as at now. Presently, there is a dearth of quality leadership and this is actually needed to galvanise all for the actualisation of your dream. The leader sees the future the followers cannot see and makes them to believe it and has enough charisma that oozes confidence, that will make people want to even follow him to the lions den. With such a leader, more people, most especially igbos in other parts of Nigeria, will key into the dream. With their level of exposure, education and investments in other parts of the country. You do not expect them to stake their lives and what they have worked for in their lifetime, to follow one tout or one never-to-do-well id1ot sitting down in one obscured room in Europe saying rubbish. I cannot say what your economy will look like in 10years time after independence. If you are basing your economy on the China trading your people do, then you are in for a long thing. Trading does not sustain any country. For your information all trading activities in Lagos constitutes less than 1% of Lagos GDP (Lagos State Government website). That is the reason why people find your statements of we-developed-Lagos absurd and illogical 4 Likes |

It is no pity you are busy acting like a hole however when you are done fooling, you can help your silly self by glancing over the map of South African region. I guess you could see there is an independent country inside Republic of South Africa. Your moronic posture indicates the people of South Africa are more enlightened than dumbasses such as you in Nigeria. I have no intentions to educate you however Republic of Igbo land shall exist and the expendables in the so-called south-south had to make a decision. It is clearly your mindset sucks. 1 Like |

On a side note I think Biafrans should research countries that seceded successfully so as to develop proper strategies.I didn't even know Singapore seceded from Malaysia in 1965 and watch how great they are despite being small nation. 1 Like |

Duru1:Its clearly obvious that the pain of defeat has affected your brain, your brain is so damaged by Buhari's victory, it can no longer comprehend or process information. I didn't insult you in my earlier quote unless you consider the word "ignorant" which you called me first as insult, neither did i post any negative comment against Biafra in my post. I was just being objective by stating one of the conditions that could affect the Country of Biafra becoming a reality, but you brought politics and abuse into it. I am from the region known today as South South (NigerDelta) and i know for a fact that my state or region is not part of your Biafra. So i ask again and this time answer the question in a mature way, will Biafra (Republic of Igboland as you called it) become a country inside Nigeria if as you put it the "expendables" from the South South did not join? And before you go back to South Africa and all, Lesotho neither fought a civil war nor secede from South Africa, she gained independence from Britain. 1 Like |
