You are the ignorant person here for not grabbing the message in my post, how will Biafra secede without the states i mentioned earlier? Will Biafra become a country inside Nigeria? Or in your very ignorant mind you think the NigerDelta region is part of your Biafra?
Ever heard of Lesotho?

It will serve as a reference and also a precedent if Biafra secedes successfully from Nigeria, nothing is written on a stone. Even Vatican, an independent state is inside Italy.

Honestly i have nothing against Biafra seceding from Nigeria and if it does happen, it will serve as a huge precedence for other region like you stated, i would also like to see a NigerDelta Republic. I am just looking at the political climate in Nigeria and how it might negatively impact on the economy of Biafra. If Biafra becomes a reality without states like rivers, akwa ibom and cross rivers who borders other country, it may be very difficult as the Nigerian govt could close all boarders (expecially the states mentioned) as it did during the civil war, which may affect the economy of Biafra. Just my opinion though

In times past, the Igbos had been yearning for seclusion, to have their own government and jurisdiction. Its high time we fulfil their wish. Its not like Nigeria can`t exist without the Igbos. If they are planning any form of crisis, they would fail at it. The other three regions of Nigeria, out number them in size and everything. C. Odumegwu Ojukwu who was a known ruler of the Igbos, failed on his quest of dividing Nigeria. Who`s next?
I really don`t know the motive behind these schemings. They want to become a country which would perish in a short time. All I see is Biafrans gasping for breath... Biafran government my FOOT!
why do u think biafra will fail after a long time? If it fails then it won't b ur problem. I just don't understand why the yorubas keep attacking d igbos over this biafra issue. Igbos were deported from lagos, igbos r told everyday that lagos is not their home. Its obvious that u don't want the igbos in ur land but u have refused to support d igbos in their quest for biafra so that they can leave ur land for u. FYI, igbos have no problems with the yorubas(both tribes have lived in peace for decades). The problem the igbos have with nigeria is the hausa/fulani. We r just tired of being in d same country with them. No yoruba person has been able to tell me why we should remain in this country with the hausas. Hausas belong to niger and chad.

Reading tru d posts it baffles me as to why yorubas keep bashing the igbos bcus of biafra. U don't want the igbos in ur region but whenevr the talk of biafra arises u come with 1000 and 1 excuse why biafra will fail. I just don't get it. I guess what they say is true, yorubas r born critics- they criticise everything, even their tribal marks filled faces.

I believe if Igbos do really, seriously, genuinely and sincerely want Biafra nation, they will have it without a shot of gun. They do have all the human and material resources to achieve this. However, it seems the people leading the secession campaign have no clue as to what they want or how to go about it.

Moreover, with all due respect, it seems most Igbos would prefer to be in Nigeria than Biafra. I may be wrong but this is why a referendum is so important. Imagine, few months ago, the Scottish were demanding for their own country. They got a referendum but majority of Scots prefer not to leave UK.

Why I'm saying all these is that, if Igbos achieved Biafra by force through arms, it's most likely that, there might be an internal divisions among tribes, states within Biafra. This is why the way to go is through a referendum.

Unlike in the 60s, Nigeria now practice democracy today and I believe if Igbos unites and, with one voice demand for a referendum Via the United Nations, nothing can stop them. South Sudan did it, Eritrea did it, Ukrain did it, Scotland recently did it( though they fail but they're not giving up), 'Barcelonians' and some small towns are currently demanding for their own country in Spain. There are hundreds of nations within nations demanding for referendums in order to have their own countries.

So, people demanding for secession must always adhere to best option of separation which is PEACEFUL separation. This can always be done by first demanding for a REFERENDUM. Demanding for a referendum in order to determine whether to remain as part of a country or whether to secede is not a crime. What is a crime is when people take up arms to fight a democratic institutions. This may lead to a full blown war and War is not a child's play.

Bull shyt! Ogun state alone has more industries than the entire SE combined -- FACT. You are confused, the same you are complaining about marginalization and now you reel out false stats about your 'advancement' compared to other Nigerians? ? Your land is cursed with erosion, it is barren. No industries, no jobs, hence why your folks keep leaving that enclave in droves -- FACT!

https://www.nairaland.com/2322312/ogun-state-nigerias-emerging-industrial

Even your billionaires are not investing in the SE. Ifeanyi Uba has only ONE petrol station in the entire Anambra, his main investment concerns are located and situated in the SW. Ditto Emeka Offor, Ditto Arthur Eze, Ditto Coscharis. I visit the Anambra, Imo, Enugu threads and your people there are always attacking their rich people for fleeing the SE -- they simply refuse to invest in the SE!!!!! Even the Enugu Int'l Airport sef, they've refused to patronize it -- they would rather fly all the way to Lagos to board international flights that could easily be boarded at Enugu!!

Before the Enugu Airport was upgraded you all boasted that it will take much traffic away from Lagos, yet they refuse to use it, is it the Yorubaman's fault? You people are just pathetic. Full-stop!

Spot on. On one hand they claim to be marginalized, on another they claim to be the richest this and that. They talk as if people from other regions collect stipend from the government apart from the state monthly allocation, they will never blame there elders that do receive allocation just like other region but blame the Yorubas and Hausa for there misfortune. Never seen a tribe of cry babies and lil kids like this before...

Its clearly obvious that the pain of defeat has affected your brain, your brain is so damaged by Buhari's victory, it can no longer comprehend or process information. I didn't insult you in my earlier quote unless you consider the word "ignorant" which you called me first as insult, neither did i post any negative comment against Biafra in my post. I was just being objective by stating one of the conditions that could affect the Country of Biafra becoming a reality, but you brought politics and abuse into it. I am from the region known today as South South (NigerDelta) and i know for a fact that my state or region is not part of your Biafra. So i ask again and this time answer the question in a mature way, will Biafra (Republic of Igboland as you called it) become a country inside Nigeria if as you put it the "expendables" from the South South did not join? And before you go back to South Africa and all, Lesotho neither fought a civil war nor secede from South Africa, she gained independence from Britain.

You behave like a hole; you must be called an ass. People like you are the reasons Africa seems to dance backward. Certain groups of people are agitating for independence of their homeland or ethnic nationality and all you can offer is moronic idiocy. Who gives a rataxx about you skewed and silly objectivity? You can have your bloody Niger Delta or the so-called south-south but Republic of Igbo land is nonnegotiable. I hate it when dumbasses in Nigeria hid behind irrelevant nomenclatural objects such as south-south or Niger Delta and poke nose on serious political matter. If a jackass is ashamed of his or her ethnic nationality in Nigeria, I suggest such ignoramus remains quiet when issue partnering to ethnic nationality is an object of discussion.

Why should certain cretins and street urchins in Nigeria always talk about war when issues for independence of ethnic nationalities are tabled? The great USSR disintegrated without a shot fired. I guess most Nigerians who are dead weights and lazy suckers tend to twist out of human form when there is a slight talk of disintegration of Nigeria. In fact, Nigeria is a practical joke

Referenda have been used either as required by the national constitution, or requested by the executive, the legislative or groups of citizens, or by an international organization. They are called to advise or decide on pre-determined issues of major national importance.

At the international level, an international organization such as the League of Nations or the United Nations may request or authorize a referendum in order to allow the population of a territory or country to decide whether to join another country, or become independent, or to approve a constitution.
