So investigation was carried out and it was revealed that the boy stole the wrist watch. Why not carry out a similar investigation to know where the owner got the wrist watch from.. Small investigations like this can lead to larger once or even have link to some of our missing monies .. |

Let me get this right, the domestic help is charge for stealing, but no charges for stealing from the national kitty to buy the watch and other things. Naija we hail thee and we wonder why these guy suit up at night and blast people with no mercy, really?? |

jorlons: Don't call him a f00l, blame his eyes. I would have made same mistake. Both names start with A but one of the names is synonymous with expensive watches and the brand she wears is more expensive than all the savings in her husbands account. |

TS2:Many multimillionaires wear $100 watches. Bill Gates the richest man in the world wears a $10 wristwatch http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2014/sep/30/bill-gates-admits-i-wear-10-wrist-watch/ More often than not those who have had money in their family for generations are more conservative. It is insecure parvenus who feel a need to make a statement with ostentation. That is the real poverty mentality when one needs to show off to validate one self. Really rich people realize wealth is an opportunity and responsibility to change society not to consume vainly. If you give a person with poverty mentality a billion naira very soon he will be poor because he will start buying 50 million naira wristwatches |

Thorough investigation needs to be done. My uncle told me of a similar incidence in d past when Akinyemi was minister. Some maintenance staff of d defunct NITEL who went to perform their duty in his house were accused of theft of his wrist watch. d wrist watch was later discovered somewhere in d house. While not sure it's d same situation, i hope dat d investigating authorities do a thorough job. |

If I may ask, isn't it outrageous for someone in this part of the world, where more than 50% of the population are living far below a dollar per day, to be using an 11million naira watch? |
