Gr8fulHeart:Why not try a pacifier and stop it when your LO's teeth starts coming in. Thumb sucking is very addictive and hard to stop. I have a friend in her 20's that still sucks her thumb to sleep. 1 Like |

frantoy: I would not introduce this at 6 months. I would rather go for homemade ogi/a kamu and the likes without sugar. This is because bird custard has colourants which I personally feel a six month old should not be introduced to as at yet. I am not sure of milk, other moms may advise as I never gave my son any; he was breastfed. Welldone for the good work! |

favoredgal: I couldn't agree less with favouredgal. My son never took the bottle as well and refused formula so gave breast milk till he was 14 months. Made all his cereals with milk and he had them. He walked at 10 months too and is doing well for a 2 and half year old now. Hope that reassures you! 3 Likes |

Thanks for your concern. I tried expressing and was unable to get up to 60ml at an instant.Obviously am not producing sufficient milk 3 weeks postpartum. It's so bad that my baby was so dehydrated that she excrets ureate ie pinkish stains on her diaper. She's so skinny that u can't compare her look now with the way she looked at delivery. I ve gone back to formula but I still put her to breast as well. |

Hi esteria. Yes my belly gone. Wore a belly band from 15 min after the procedure. Reduced my food drastically enough to just keep milk supply up. And my belly went back quickly-14 days I was already seeing definition in my tummy. But as soon as I got home, the weight in the belly came back a bit cos I have been eating way more than I used to when I just had him. I was so determined then and was very brutal in my methods and they worked- from girdle to belly band to waist trimmer to little teeny food. It was serious for me and I do not advocate my methods as I had done loads of research and went ahead against counsel. I'm back on the weight loss train now with the reduced food intake diet. Nothing too drastic sha. Just greatly reducing My portions and not eating after 7. I just restarted it in June. And I'm hoping to be a size 10 perfect by Dec. I was a size 12 pre preg. I'm back to my pre pregnancy clothes but not pre preg weight. So my clothes fit fine but there's a few pounds/kg I can't account for. But in summary, my tummy doesn't look like a baby came out of it recently, I'm not totally back to pre pregnancy weight but tummy is down and has been since 14 days post partum and got progressively smaller till my MIL pretty much blackmailed me and forced me into more food with her," ko le je pe gbogbo rice to fe je niyen" you can't mean that is all the rice you want to eat. 3 Likes |
Helo lovely mums in d house, I'm a ftm with twins one week post I guess it's different for every woman. Mine came day 3 and it was horrendous. I was shaking with a fever. My boobs looked like I had inserted400 naira watermelons into each boob. My nipples became flat due to the engorgement and therefore LO couldn't suck. It was horrible. I'm telling u this to be prepared. Anytime from now it could come really big and plenty do have your pump ready. Just to nudge it ahead, drink pap, tea and I recently researched and found out about moringa. There's an actual medical trial on it and the result of the experiment is that moringa aids lactation. My mom just brought me some and I can't wait to start using as I'm not getting more than 4 oz in one sitting anymore unlike the 8 oz of before. Try and let us know how it works. I'll try it too. All the best. |

esteria: I think you should give the hair a clean chop, as in shave it all off and start afresh. Nizoral shampoo may also help in curing* whatever is chopping the hair off in the 1st place. Apply shea butter daily thereafter and it will pick gradually. I can feel how traumatised you are by the situation.... Pele |
