friends, i need you to tell me how to track ( Sirius 4, 4.8 deg East: T.P: 12605(V) 29950 ) and i also want to ask maybe 60cm dish can track it. .... I've. been tracking it for the past 3 days.... I really need your help.

@Malcomkelvin. 60 cm dish - Yes.Tracking frequency for SES 5 @ 5E = 12015V sr 29950.LNB skew between 6 and 7 o'clock.

@Ball22. You can easily nail Amos 5/Ku @ 17E -within 5 mins.Tracking freq. = 12260V sr-17666 (Satelo).Skew 7 o'clock.

thanks for the reply... Am using strong decoder 4922, I don't see any satellite name like SES 5 or sirus..... which satellite name should I use and lastly the dish position...

@Malcomkelvin. SES 5 = Astra 4A. Dish shld face SOUTH - roughly btw 170 and 200 degrees azimuth. Elevation = 82 degrees

@Malcomkelvin. In otherwords,the elevation pivot bolt shld be at 58 - 60 degree mark if u are using std 60/90 cm offset

Guys my positioner shows E2 but moves the jack properly. Do i need to be worried? Also, i would like to know if an analogue sat finder nails an MPEG 4 or HD transpoder. Thanks.

My Openbox V8 combo twin tunner receiver arrived from China today. The most significant aspect is the dvb s2-t2. I searched for terrestrial channels and got all the Gotv and star times channels, though only Lagos tv, NTAi and Go channel are free others are scrambled. This will come handy when the digital migration is complete. Am yet to asses the 3g, 2g and WiFi component. I'm also trying to add biss key which is still proving difficult.

I just remebered i got startimes t2 decoder hiding somewhere around the house..I think it is programmed to scan startimes frequencies..451 to 858Mhz manually / automatic scan default to 451 to 602Mhz.. example I couldn't scan govt channels on startimes t2 decoder..nice scrambled channels there though

@odilibe, what is frequency of gotv, since the startimes decoder's frequency range from 420 to 850 just approximated, i think it should recieve it, for example, dstv decoder use to scan all those chinese channels on eutelsat 36e which is not part of dstv package.
