Flood is popping up everywhere whenever there is a longer rainfall. Is this the effect of global warming? Many parts of Texas were flooded last week and it is not a matter of planning anymore as it cannot be controlled. This is not a drainage issue.
I don't completely agree with you. Yesterday was World enviromental day we were caution to keep our surrounding clean because it help the eco system, when big proper drainages are built it help channel the water and atleast reduce the impact. Littering of non degradable materials too dangerous and people are adviced to dispose it properly

this is despicable. Africa arise

Arise to do what? Take up arms against mother nature, or the government?
Even developed nations like the US can't control the flood and the numerous natural catastrophies that is ravaging that country now. Nepal just had its own share.

The issue of global warming and its effect is no longer in doubt. The greatest enemy of man in this planet is Man himself. Man wants to live too comfortable at the expense of other creatures, and without any regards for the planetary well-being. Now, he is paying the price for his misadventure and overt scientific knowledge.

The Earth is in pains, and mother nature is trying hard to adjust to the new realities. Mother nature is in birth pains, and wants to give birth to a new world. The signs are everywhere.

Man is an irony! Yes, he is a survival and by creation, lord of the Earth. Yet, everywhere he goes, He is in chains. The nature of death follows him about. He is king where he belongs, but can not control the forces around him. Man, with regards to the planetray cosmic order, is a failed PROJECT.

Neverrheless,........this Man is Unique, and nothing best describe this uniqueness as does the pictorial evidence of the Mother and Child above. Even when death was closing in, she never forsook the seed of her body. And when her eyelids finally closed in death, she was found lying, stretched on the ground, with her child untop her, both enveloped in the cold hands of death, and forever oblivious to a cursed world marked for DOOM!

Adieu Mother! Adieu Son.. Till the end of time!

Take heart Ghana, and RIP to the Silent Ones!

You don't have to. My neighborhood was flooded not because of drainage. What about the heavy flood in the UK last year?
I do not dispute the fact that drainages play important role but it won't work for heavy rainfall.
