bebeto2014:Don't be scared. Just brace up for a good interview. If your situation has improved last you were denied a visa, I think you would get the visa this time. Put God first in whatever you do, he already knew what is right for you. Wishing you the best of mother luck!! |
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 7 by Nobody: 6:06pm On Jun 06, 2015 |
benjaminiyke:Ok. Honestly, your problem is not Bank Statement. But be careful with the kind of document you take to the embassy. You can post your previous interview here so that others will correct your lapses. Just relax, you will get it right next time. Best of luck dude!! 2 Likes |

@kenny rony he owns a small IT firm presently but before then after he graduated from secondary he tried entering the Nigerian university through jamb but could not gain admission to any of the Nigerian universities, hes got passion for studies in the USA and now wants to go there but now his real age is 30 while his passport says 26. what if he applies for a course that is IT related seeing hes got working experience, is there any hope for him on getting visa still? |
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 7 by kennyrony(m): 6:23pm On Jun 06, 2015 |
linaluv:Ok. Good seems his official age is 26, it a little bit ok. Wen exactly did he finish secondary school, d date on his WAEC result matters. He must be able to state wat he as been doing from wen he graduated from secondary school till date. |

linaluv: Here are some of the solutions I can profer... Instead of rewriting O' levels again he could go to WAYEK(in Patience Jonathan voice )and try to correct the DOB. Remember he also needs a birth certificate or a sworn declaration of age. If he wants too he could write WAEC again.... Whatever he decides to do, it has to be uniform and genuine. About the embassy... To the best of my knowledge it's not a red flag. The VO will definitely wana know why he is just going to college for an undergraduate programme. He needs to provide a good reason what he's been doing all these time. He definitely needs to write standardised exams too and have good scores. He has to appear at that embassy looking sharp and promising. Not an impossible task but definitely a demanding one! #Bless |

Hello Guys, When filling financial support information submitted to the graduate school, I filled in self sponsorship. Pls can I change it to joint sponsorship when filling DS-160 form and at the embassy? |
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 7 by benjaminiyke(m): 7:04pm On Jun 06, 2015 |
First interview at Abuja... I just finished my first degree and my statement of result was not ready. So I filled in my Ds-160 that I was still a student. VO- why did you choose this uni? Me- this university has an excellent school of pharmacy and is well equipped with outstanding laboratory facilities and currently housing the biggest pharmaceutical lab in texas, am also interested in d undergraduate research being conducted in the school of pharmacy. Vo- who is ur sponsor? Me -my uncle,my mothers brother. his a business man. VO- show me bank statements. Me- I showed him. Vo started typing and gave me my rejection letter. 2nd interview in same abuja. VO- why do u want to study pharmacy? Me- told him it's my dream course am very passionate about this course,am interested in drugs and how they function in d human body moreover pharmacy is in line with my first degree chemistry. VO- what will u do after u complete ur studies? Me- told him I will come back after my studies and establish a very lucrative pharmaceutical Business. VO- what kind of training will u undergo after ur studies? Me- I didn't get what me meant by training,I just told him first I will become a licensed pharmacist. He nodded his head. VO- show me your transcript. Me- I showed him my statement of result cause my original degree certificate was not ready,I just graduated last year. VO- okay, everything looks good to me. VO- who's your sponsor. Me- my uncle.my mothers brother. VO- show me his bank statement. Me- I gave it to him,and he took it to the VO who interviewed me in my first attempt and when he came back he started typing very fast, after typing he told me am sorry, you just graduated, you can apply in the future. I believe just graduating is not the problem, because it shows am a serious student, he only used that as an excuse. And gave me the 214 something tells me it's my funding, yearly expense is $30,000 and my bank statement is $45,000. Pharmacy is 4 years. Any suggestions? Pls 1 Like |

Hello please is it better to have a Co- sponsor, or have the all the funds in 1 acct, the main sponsor is my dad n co-sponsor mybrother. Does cash flow in the account matter too? |
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 7 by bbdd: 7:47pm On Jun 06, 2015 |
Jahbless82: This joint sponsor thing is tricky. Go with either Dad/Mom and present the statement(If they request for it) Also, some documents are uploaded by the school on their database.er Some say the US Embassy knows who they will give visas or not based on the documents uploaded. So in order to play safe, i dont think you should contradict the financial documents you submitted to your school. However, If its a situation in which your hands are tied, You could go with a parents statement and prepare well for your interviews including succint answers to any potential gray area GOODLUCK |
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 7 by bbdd: 7:52pm On Jun 06, 2015 |
benjaminiyke: Sorry to hear about your denial. I'm a pharmacist and whenever Americans hear of Pharmacy and Medicine they think of huge loans they have to pay off in order to get their kids off to Medical / Pharmacy school, and most times students get backlogs and can't even finish when due. This is perhaps why that VO needed clarification. It's obvious that they were not convinced about your ability to pay for the really expensive pharmacy school. Sometimes its all about perception. I think you should reapply if you have a really good financial backing considering the previous denials have a link to your financial ability...so to speak. GOODLUCK 2 Likes |

Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 7 by kennyrony(m): 9:01pm On Jun 06, 2015 |
linaluv:Alright. So he graduated from secondary school 2010, and he is 26years now. I think it fair enough. So now, he as to go to WAEC office and make correction on his age, so that it will tally wit d one on his passport. He must be able to fill d 5years gap be convincing d VO. i.e wat he as been doing after he graduated from high school till date. He should try and write standerdided test. And apply to a good school, With God I believe he will be fine. |

Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 7 by bbdd: 10:39pm On Jun 06, 2015 |
benjaminiyke: My advice is to stay off for fall 2015 and try again for fall 2016. This is so you don't have a dented record at the embassy. So when you reapply they will certainly know that there has been a change in your case since the last time. |

Good day people. I got admitted for MS in Safety Sciences in Indiana Uni. of Pennsylvania and Murray State Uni. Without having to submit GRE scores. I actually have several prerequisite courses to write alongside the Main classes and the IUP sent me a waiver letter to that effect. How do you think I can convince the VO when asked whether or not I wrote any standardized test? I await your suggestions. Thanks. |

benjaminiyke:I would advise you to take your time, and upgrade your status, before going back to the embassy. However, you can still try if you believe you can do it. That's also if you have enough funds to reapply in the future. Just don't quit dude. The United States of America is open for you. 1 Like |

benjaminiyke:If the second VO really said you can reapply in the future, I think you need to wait, defer your application to winter semester and come back on October for January session. Remember 120 days rule. So chill out a little and look for some sort of scholarship if you can so as to make your application stronger. This is just my honest opinion though. |
