With the rate corruption is really growing in Nigeria. Do you think there will ever be an end to corruption in Nigeria? But for me, i personally think Corruption will only end in Nigeria if lethal and hard laws are strictly made. |

YES. At least reduced to the possible minimum. People engage in corruption because it is profitable. What happens when doing thing the right way bring profit and if done in a corrupt manner has a high risk of repercussion? The Solution is not to put too much punishment on corruption, but; - To discourage Nigerians from engaging in corruption (or dubious shortcuts). - Make sure that doing the right thing pays positively, always. - That those who engage in corruption get punished every single time they repeat the crime. - And finally that mechanism, policies and law-enforcement are regularly fine-tuned to catch perpetrators in every possible means they may try. YES, corruption can be subdued and Nigerians can choose a better alternative. It requires someone with the political will - and now we have a shot at it in Buhari. |
