If that starting line-up is true, then I thank God that the foreign pros - Iheanacho, Success and Moses didn't waste their time coming early to camp. Whatever happens, these guys' talents are not in doubt anyday and they are settled in their clubs. That said, my mind still tells me that Manu does not know how to rotate his squad. With the way it's going, some players may not kick a single ball in this tournament till we get to the quaterfinals God willing. I'm even afraid if some will kick all through because the higher it goes, the hotter it becomes. Every player in that team should be well managed and respected.

I disagree with u about management , what we need is result , if u re the coach will u change a winning team ? He said it before the tournament that his bench may be stronger than his starting eleven , and when the going get tough , he can win the match from the bench cos they all have what it takes to do it .I felt for Simon anyways cos I am a good fan on him ... I want to see him play and make those his dangerous moves .

One thing thing I have noticed about Manu Garba is that : he wants cohesiveness and solid team work , anything less than that is a no for him .... Most of us knows the individual brilliance of the guys he left on the bench , but they re yet to give him d desired result .hoping to see a better super flying eagles tomorrow .

I think we are saying same thing. Which coach leaves his best legs on the bench in the name of team cohesiveness. Those guys on the bench are not technically deficient.Tell them what do to and how in line with what they can offer the team. Change tactics if nid be to achieve results. Nigerian coaches give d excuse of sticking to winning team to hide their tactical and technical ineptitude. Are those on the bench in New Zealand there to stare and clap for their colleagues? Winning match from the bench my foot! It all boils down to management.

Since this competition started, I have observed a lot of things about Manu Garba and the team;
1) He has soft spot for some of those guys that initially failed the MRI scan prior to the under-17 world cup in UAE.

2) He is trying to forcefully push some players into limelight maybe to get foreign clubs at the expense of the team's overall performance. He is trying to be a good father, lol. Unfortunately, football doesn't work like that.

3) Even though we beat North Korea in our last match, the attack isn't yet convincing and our attack is too slow cos he didn't get the right mix of players in that middle. Our best midfield convo is a midfield with Yahaya on the left side, Ihenacho on the right side, Nwakali(no nonsense) and Idowu as defensive midfielders. I think Ihenacho would be best as an 8.

4) As a striker, Awoniyi lacks confidence and calmness in front of goal. He also needs to learn how to look up before taking a shot no matter how small the time interval may be. He also needs to learn how to beat his marker fast on a 1 on 1 situation. I hope he scores tomorrow.

5) Our captain is performing seriously below par, infact, he should stop taking corner kicks but Manu Garba seems to have given him a permanent shirt.

6) Our weakest link is the left back position. Okon who played that position for the under 17 team is far far better than the current guy there.

7) Our goal keeper should be changed...even though we didn't concede any goal against Korea, he was so jittery and his movements lack coordination. He might kill us at the knock out stages. A goal keeper needs to have confidence even if he isn't good and our goal keeper lacks that.

Finally, I want to believe that Manu Garba is knowingly doing all these and saving his bests for the knockout stages cos there wouldn't be chance for errors then. I think he has an ace up his sleeves. I think he has 2 teams; the first one for mild damage and the second one( which we are yet to see) for maximum assault. All the best to the team.

The current left back was Manu's first choice prior to the u17 world cup. I think he got injured or so, that's why Okon was brought in. I loved Okon then, in fact i tipped him for a top club after the competition but that didn't happen. On the issue of Okon being better than the current one, you don't know how his current form is

Sir Kannymore's "in-your-face" facts-digging skills are becoming legendary... And to think he's 8yrs on NL... Boyyy!!! I'm still a morula where he is coz I'm just 15days old on NL.
Miss Safarigirl is one to never 'completely' lose an argument afta all, "Success was indeed watching Awo frm the bench vs N/korea"... *dont drag me into the argument, I'm just quoting the lady*
Sir Linked seems to hv taken up the role of fishing out the word "Cocky or cockiness".
Good to see incisive analyses, brilliant logical reasonings, intelligent deductions, funny comments, cool thoughts and much more from other elders in this 'gigantic house' from the likes of Sir GoodJoe, Sir Tbaba, Sir Lexyman, Sir AIGO7, Sir Mikron(yes u, sir), Sir Zoboizee, Sir Jobsat, Sir LeeCodeman, Sir Pointblank and etc.
It's great to be in ur midst again...

P.S: I really enjoyed the 'ping pong' arguments btwn Sir Kannymore and Lady Safarigirl. Awesome stuff!

Meanwhile, BARCA ARE UCL WINNERS!!!!! Hahaha... Why am I glad? Simple... The Super Flying Eagles is a team modelled after the total football/tiki taka/attacking possession-based soccer philosophy that Fc Barcelona employs and the dutch team of the '70s employed. Barca is the role model team of the Super Flying Eagles.
Manu Garba(SFEs Coach) often says, 'think barcelona, think spain, think total football... Massive attack and massive defence...'

Finally, I GOT MY SCALPEL READY TO CUT THRU SOME HUNGARIAN BRAINS TO EXCISE THE SATIETY CENTER LOCATED IN THE HYPOTHALAMUS SO AS TO KILL OFF THEIR HUNGER AND BRING THEM TO THEIR KNEES...

GO GO GO SUPER FLYING EAGLES! ! ! ! ! ! !

Looks like the FE would become the best 3rd-placed team if they secure a draw vs Hungary.
Germany are leading Honduras by 5-1; elsewhere its Uzbekistan 2-0 Fiji

Senegal make it. Nigeria would have to lose by 8 goals to not qualify, hungary would have to lose by 9 goals to not qualify.
I think its safe to say UEFA and CAF so far full house:
UEFA 6/6
CAF 4/4
CONMEBOL 3/4
OFC 1/2
CONCACAF 1/4
AFC 1/4

U are right bro. We will need to lose by 8-0 to crash out now.

From experience, 3pts with good goals différence is usaully enough for a team to finish among d 4 3rd placed teams.

I like to think this is the situation. He's holding back KC, Moses and Suxes for a reason. Y'all asking why Suxes doesn't start, maybe it's cuz Manu doesn't want a repeat of the U17 occurence where the dude was ruled out of the tournament half-way into group stage. He needs his 'topflight experience' for KO stages
