I think pharmacy is more lucrative in Nigeria depending on ur individual or self development.... pharmacy goes beyond having to open a pharmacy after school but include adequate knowledge of pharmaceutical substance n how they work

don't b deceived,dentistry is also medicine and we both know medicine is more lucrative dan pharmacy

But a good pharmacy practice gives high returns on investment any day in case of unemployment.

If it's about the money, I'd pick pharmacy over medicine/dentistry. You may never get really rich in dentistry/medicine but you will be comfortable sha!!

Most of the people commenting are studdnts and have not entered the job market yet nor have they experienced hardship and difficulties in getting a job.

Being a doctor/pharmacist doesnt automatically guarantee you a 'good' job with well paying salaries. If u need a job of 50K per month, u will definitely get it but will that sustain you and your family over time?

Dentistry/Medicine is as lucrative as Pharmacy and vice versa. You can be stinkinlg rich in both professions and also so poor and frustrated in either of them. Most dental doctors/medical doctors and pharmacists are average income earners. They are not rich but comfortable. It takes time before you can start making it very big in both professions. It all depends on how you package yourself and if fate is on your side.

Topics like this on nairaland often showcase some individuals level of exposure to the outside world. Forget about all the bogus figures Wikipedia inputs on its website concerning medicine. wikipedia would input figures so large, indicating how much a food technologist earns, way higher than other professions, whereas in the real sense, they earn sth far below all that. Even a medical doctor knows that pharmacy is ahead as regards employment.

hospital pharmacy
pharmaceutical industrial pharmacy
lab/ quality control pharmacy etc

meanwhile
Shey na because of money you wan study any of these courses?!
I hope you wouldn't be frustrated when you eventually come across the work load of the course

Anyone studying both courses for the sake of money needs to get his head checked
