Well,we are all praying for the best.Awoniyi has finally become irrelevant first half player, how quick do we forget this lad?haba, watch the marking of that boy anytime he holds the ball, the recent absence of Success Isaac in that team has placed a high attention on Awoniyi.Height, unselfishness and work rate is higher than that of success.Part of the problem we have against Brazil is that everybody want to show off,tic-tac or jogo bonito, one ,two touch is what that team needs,Yahaya plays too selfish, watch the game against Korea again and see the two goals assist of Awoniyi,if it is Success or Yahaya in that position they would want to do it alone.
Asamoah Gyan once label Awoniyi a silent killer,he was like that during the U17 days but he grew in confidence, before i hang up,sorry to draw comparison,if a good coach handle Awoniyi you will always see the best of him.Manu Garba should be returned to the U17 because he knows how to spot good players but he can't nurture them through to the higher ranks,he lacks that know how,Siasia is better from the U20 to U23.
I am yet to see a good super eagles coach in Nigeria. If Siasia is given the mantle he may fail because of his work antics and no nonsense appraoch, super stars don't want that but that is the way to direct the Senior national team.

Manu's acidic test with this his "dynamic" team is against the Germans which will determine if his African champions are worth the mention.
I think Manu needs to raise his game and execute high profile games with high profile players cuz there are many loopholes in this team and the Germans can expose and exploit our weaknesses which are numerous.

Before coming here, I saw that Hungary had just taken the lead against Brazil. Regardless of whatever outcome of this game, i still believe Nigeria will be too strong for Hungary.

That's my optimism!

Time will tell...

I guess I was 'SPOT ON' afterall!!!

Welldone lads, we march on to the Round of 16!

Now, who's next in line to have their asses whipped by the 'FLYING EAGLES!!!!!

We will destroy germany grin football is tricky, we might underrate serbia and den lose to dem but since its germany we'll be very srz
Ogbeche77:
Maybe we should have just lost and face Serbia in the next round.. Germany seems like a more formidable opponent. Won all there 3 group game and are even the current European defending champion

It is not about the number of spectators it is how vocal they are that matters.

Emirates stadium is always filled up yet the atmosphere is non existent. Highbury was nicknamed 'library' while arsenal was still playing there because it was often quiet.

Didn't you hear the Nigerians shouting Go Go throughout? Or did you hear anything from the Hungary supporters?
Yeah thats why man utd got the best fan club in epl. The epl team i think also got good fan club is liechester city, their voice is are so loud while they are at home.

I don't think we should be disturbing ourselves with the thought of playing Germany. they may look lyk d beta team bt I expect them 2 b scared too because I know dis flying eagles team did nt go there 2 break melon.
if we're are going to win d tournament then we've 2 bear it in mind that we must beat any team in d knockout stage. so our energy should be channelled into preparation

Guy what r u saying Manu garba is doing a fantastic job, if not for his bravery we wont know how deep this squad is. So many options moreso ur analysis about Awoniyi was spot on, my only wish is for him to replace the enaholo and godwin

But that goalie is good seem the big stage got to him that day. Reason Manu sticks to him.

It happens like that atymes but watch his gameplay, he loses the ball way too much. You need to go rewatch the 2nd and third game

I gave you your second like, if say you no praise Awoniyi my loff, I for just ignore your post cuz I greatly disagree with the part about Siasia being better than Manu.

What is Siasia's record? How many games did he go unbeaten? Do you know Manu's record? Brazil is the first team to win them since CIV in 2013. And you wan compare am to Siasia wey go borrow Awoniyi before that his useless U23 side could win common Zambia to qualify for AAG next round.

Abeg just cancel that part

Please let's just tell ourselves the bitter truth this guys are not impressive, Manu Garuba is playing like keshi, no tactics nothing nothing, just explore ur and score goals.
If you had watched this guys during their U-17 you will probably understand me. You could feel the ticki tacka that time, now Its get the ball to awoniyi who for has be superb.
Our coach need to play the under 17 boys and not these U-40 men..
I rest my case.
