Dear VO, My wife and daughter have submitted their application and have also scheduled for an appointment. I intend to travel with them and so I have asked my wife to cancel the appointment till when I finish my application and that she has done. However, there are some little problems, 1) Our accommodation will now change as I intend to join them, 2) Sponsorship has also change 3) Earnings for her have also changed. My questions now are 1) Hope she won’t have to pay another visa fee as she has canceled the appointment although she is yet to reschedule. 2) Is it possible to retrieve the already submitted application to make these changes? 3) if no 2 is not possible, how else can those changes be made to avoid complications 4) Can she fill another application form and use the D-160 confirmation no to book for interview/appointment. Thank you |

Hello Dear VO, Good Day. Please I intend to sponsor a relative for education in the united states and therefore I need to show the US embassy a statement of account. He has a been offered admission from a US school for a graduate program. Is there any way of doing this while keeping the details of the account with a good record and enough money to show that I will sponsor him away from him (private and secret)? e.g. sending it to the embassy / consular officer directly As much as I want to sponsor him, I also want to keep the details of my earnings, spending's and financial information as private as I can... Hoping for a response soon... Thanks... |

Hello VO, I must commend you all for your responses and time taken to answer all our questions. The drop box time line states 7-10 working days! Is there a reason that time line is being exceeded of late?? |

hello house, I have filed the US visa form for family visit and I have my interview for next week. However I have forgotten the actual date I filled in the form (its for family visit and didnt put much emphasis on date) as my date of departure to US and some other details. I will like to know if its possible to retrieve my application form online to see the details I submitted. I don't want to give a different date when asked during the interview. please what is the way out. |

Can you enter the US on a tourist visa and get married? I got married during my second trip and returned to my home country. My spouse holds a H1 and we are thinking of applying for H4 soon. What I am really worried about is because I entered the country on a visitor visa and got married, would it make the whole process of applying for H4 make difficult? What would happen to my B1/B2? Will be revoked upon applying for the new visa? What would happen if my the H4 gets rejected? Help,please.. |

Good work VO,my question is this,my friend has been denied twice, during those two times.she filled Atlanta as the state she is visiting but she is considering changing where she intends to visit this time around to Maryland, she is scared this might raise an eyebrow and could affect her chance of getting a u.s visa. Your candid advice please. |

adeshtech: Dear adeshtech, Thank you for your question. You do not need to provide any other forms. You simply need to select dropbox when you complete your application, Then, you will submit your passport, DS-160, and passport photos at your designated DHL location. Make sure your passport photos are from within the last six months. We look forward to seeing you soon. Regards, Abuja NIV Team |

nwannenna: Dear nwannenna, You can use B1/B2 visas to complete written exams in the US. If you are doing training for the exam, however, then you might need a different visa class, like an F1. We advise applicants to apply for a visa as soon as they know they will be taking an exam in the US. The next available visa interview date might be several weeks out, and we wouldn't want you to miss your flight. We look forward to seeing you soon. Regards, Abuja NIV Team |

ying2000: Dear ying2000, Thank you for your question. It is perfectly legal for you to have married an H1 visa holder while you were on a B1/B2 visa so long as you did not overstay given your visa class. Now that you have returned home, you can apply for an H4 visa. If you are found eligible for an H4 visa, you will have two visas concurrently as they are for two visa classes. Regards, Abuja NIV Team |
