Dear nairalanders. My time to apply for a U.S visa has come too. And i need some help. I have a lot of questions.
1. Please can anyone provide me with a summary of the process to apply for the visa. I've been filling my DS 160 online (not yet submitted) but im on the last page.
2. After that I learnt I should schedule my visa interview and pay my SEVIS fee through western union.
3. How do I pay for my visa interview. Can I pay in any bank. And for example say I pay on a monday, what is the earliest date of interview I can get.

Dont rush to fill the ds160, take you precious time to review it very well and you can submit it 24 hours to your interview.

Go to Gtbank with your International passport or photocopy and pay the visa fee.. You can get any date available when you check.

@ stewee and ferdimako thanks for the reply, his real age will be 29 this year october but the passport says 26 , what if he nenews his passport or re write his o levels,such as GCE so as to to get all dates on document sync with whats on the passport.?

is age 30years a red flag to the vo for undergraduate studies?

If it is ds160 confirmation code, just go to www.ceac.state.gov , click on non-immigrant and fill the rest to the section of where you will insert your passport number and save it so that you can retrieve it back within 30 days after you saved it

First interview at Abuja... I just finished my first degree and my statement of result was not ready. So I filled in my Ds-160 that I was still a student. VO- why did you choose this uni? Me- this university has an excellent school of pharmacy and is well equipped with outstanding laboratory facilities and currently housing the biggest pharmaceutical lab in texas, am also interested in d undergraduate research being conducted in the school of pharmacy. Vo- who is ur sponsor? Me -my uncle,my mothers brother. his a business man. VO- show me bank statements. Me- I showed him. Vo started typing and gave me my rejection letter. 2nd interview in same abuja. VO- why do u want to study pharmacy? Me- told him it's my dream course am very passionate about this course,am interested in drugs and how they function in d human body moreover pharmacy is in line with my first degree chemistry. VO- what will u do after u complete ur studies? Me- told him I will come back after my studies and establish a very lucrative pharmaceutical Business. VO- what kind of training will u undergo after ur studies? Me- I didn't get what me meant by training,I just told him first I will become a licensed pharmacist. He nodded his head. VO- show me your transcript. Me- I showed him my statement of result cause my original degree certificate was not ready,I just graduated last year. VO- okay,everything looks good to me. VO- who's your sponsor. Me- my uncle.my mothers brother. VO- show me his bank statement. Me- I gave it to him,and he took it to the VO who interviewed me in my first attempt and when he came back he started typing very fast,after typing he told me am sorry,you just graduated,you can apply in the future. I believe just graduating is not the problem,because it shows am a serious student, he only used that as an excuse. And gave me the 214 something tells me it's my funding,yearly expense is $30,000 and my bank statement is $45,000. Pharmacy is 4 years. Any suggestions? Pls

Me: southern Connecticut state university, vo:wat course will you be doing ? Me: computer science, vo: why? Me: cus is dexame with the course I have taken in my previous school, vo: which is dat? Me: reply, she asked can I see your result? I gave her my Wes evaluation result, she looked at it, she replied, can I see your result again, and I don't heard him well, and I gave her my certificate, and I have lower credit in it, and she asked, who will be sponsoring you, I said my father, she asked, what is he doing for Living ? I told him medical doctor, she asked how much does he has in his account, I told her I have the bank statement with me here,and she asked me to pass her, and I do so. My school fee is 21,870 us dollars per year, and father has 142,224 us dollars on his account, she looked the bank statement for view second and drop it, and she started filling a form on her system, she bring up my certificate and started typing, she type about for 5 min, and then she gave me letter of denied, and I asked her why she denied me, she said I w see it in the letter she gave me, and I asked again, can I know the actual point, she said I can reapply, pls can someone tell me likely stuff she may have typed @adex1lov
